Great debut album from shining new artist! Submitted on: 2009-04-21 |

| I came across Lene's music by pure accident. Strangely, it was copied onto a fake import cd, and I couldn't have been happier! Her voice is what will draw you.. so beautiful, melodic, seemingly innocent until you listen to the lyrics. The acoustic guitar playing ties it all together with a soothing effect overall for me. Her music is a bit reminiscent of Jewel and Dido, so if you enjoy them, give Lene Marlin a go. |

The Best Lene's Album Submitted on: 2006-07-03 |

This album is the best Lene's Album I have ever listened. All the songs are really nice, especially those of Sitting down here, Where I'm headed, May be I'll go, Flown away and A place near by. Even Lene would prefer to listen to this album than those of her later albums.
I really enjoy this album. |

This cd ain't the best in the world but better than others Submitted on: 2005-09-15 |

| I bought this album coz the booklet and the cover were really well done and coz I liked Unforgivable Sinner, but I expected it to be better. The singles which came out were ok, no doubt, but the other tracks are so boooooring....my God, I put this cd in the player when I need to get a sleep! I don't say the songs are bad, they have a good sound, but there's too slowness, Lene would need faster songs!! My fav track is Playing My Game, in this song she has got a very sweet voice. Anyway, if I had to advise a cd of Lene Marlin I would recommend this, coz the second is worse, and to tell the truth I can't stand it! At least in "Playing My Game" there's something to listen to. |

Promising debut Submitted on: 2005-09-06 |

This the first studio album from lene marlin, it had a main single which was "sitting down here" and in the uk it done reasonably well. The album did recieve quite alot of good press but was never a big seller out of her own country of Norway.
Most of this album has alot of gentle songs, guitar and soft beat driven. It has some more up-beat songs aswell, with some light electric guitar influence. Definately an album to invest in, may not grab you at first but is a definate grower, in my opinion the best albums are the ones you don't get too bored with easily after a few listens, and this is one of them. |

So I See The Way We Are...Maybe I'll Go Submitted on: 2005-08-02 |

One of the most under-rated albums of all time. Lene Marlin released this stunner about 6 years ago to date and 6 years on, I am still blown away by the quality of her debut album. Lyrically the songs may sometimes be a touch too mysterious, but melodically she is absolutely triumphant.
Highlights include every single song, but personally 'Flown Away' and 'A Place Nearby' (which was written for a friend who had passed away) are the soul breakers or menders.
Personally one of my favourite albums of all time, perhaps second only to U2's 'The Joshua Tree'. |
