Great music, but Tracks Listed on back incorrect. Submitted on: 2001-08-17 |
|
| The back of the CD lists the following ten tracks: #1: let me say #2: what God says #3: the law of love #4: deep & wide #5: get away #6: You've got everything #7: don't turn your back #8: spin #9: Cassie's song #10: Amazing Grace
"Amazing Grace" is not on the CD. However, inserted between "You've got everything" and "don't turn your back" is the track "our God reigns". So, you have ten tracks, but not the ten listed. All are great songs, however. I'd have given it 5 stars had the track information been correct. This is not what was actually on the CD. |

"Let Me Say" something about this CD Submitted on: 2000-03-28 |

| The Kry mastered yet another quality effort on "Let Me Say." To say that this is a much anticipated CD from the California-based threesome understates the excitement of Krybabies world wide. As is the case with so many band these days, this album departs stylisticly from the last. However, the change is neither uncomfortable nor drastic. If anything, the CD demonstrates a more pop-influenced inflection that may assist in producing hit songs in genres including the adult contemporary market as well as youth oriented rock radio. The Kry's strength, other than their unabashed devotion to God, continues with their melodic sing-along tunes that are well crafted and recorded. The title cut pleasantly introduces the listener to the more radio-friendly format of this disc. "What God Says," "Our God Reigns," and "Spin" come the closest to being all-out rockers on this album. "Let Me Say" and "Get Away" are fun up-tempo pop numbers that are as easy to sing along with as they are thought provoking. "The Law of Love," "You've God Everything," "Deep and Wide," and "Don't Turn Your Back" maintain The Kry's tradition of strong ballads. No review of this CD would be complete without recognition of "Cassie's Song (Whatever It Takes)." This song would be a powerful testimony without the emotional impact of knowing Cassie Bernall penned the poem upon which it is based. However, realizing these were some of the last words of hers before her untimely death in last year's Columbine High School shootings only makes this song all the more special. Leave it to God to provide us with the blessing of hearing Cassie's words put to music. Once again, The Kry provides another strong effort. As with the other albums of theirs, "Let Me Say" will see many spins on my CD players both at home and in the office. |

Let Me Say....This Is One Great Album Submitted on: 2000-03-28 |

| Its been a while since we've heard from The Kry but with songs like you'll find on the new album, the wait is worth it. Though their sound is fairly simple (being a three-piece band), it is flawlessly suited to their message. Their songwriting is among the best in Christian music and the performances are never tiresome, vocally or musically. This is one of those "every song is good" albums. |

The Kry is back! Submitted on: 2000-02-24 |

| This album sounds different than all the other albums. It's not modern rock like What About Now and it's more upbeat than You. What is the same is there bold lyrics about different aspects of a person's walk with Christ: sharing Christ, obedience to God's word, God's love, the need to spend time with Him, faith, finding completeness in His presence, perseverance, and praise. The songs have plenty of catchy choruses, and they even used loops in one song. Overall, Jean-luc's voice stands out more like in Unplugged, and the songs are more like ballads. A great album that's sure to minister to its listeners and satisfy all the krybabies out there! |
