I like dirty music Submitted on: 2002-10-03 |

| this succeeds where lords of acid miserably failed. No wonder this music was heard on so many fashion runways. This is hip and clever while being completely lowbrow. That is hard to pull off. Huzzah and kudos. |

PEACHES IS STILL TEACHING HER PEACH Submitted on: 2002-09-19 |

| I got the cd less than a week ago and I'm still trying to make this cd grow in me for the only fact that I do not dig rap even if it's in electronica music, it kept on telling me... Salt & Pepper making electro-punk or something. When I first heard "Lovertits" some time ago I went crazy for that track and since then, I wanted to get the entire album thinking that it might contain the great single "sandwiches" which is not on the album. There is some really great stuff in the Teaches of Peaches although "Rock show" & "Sucker" do not seem to match to the rest of the brilliant tracks. Give it a try, you might end up making it one of your favorites. |

Imagine a lo-fi sometimes (le tigre) punky, sometimes female rapper, sometimes rocker chick running around a stage in tight hot pants ala The Donnas, but with twice the talent and you've got peaches. I was recommended to listen to this by the synthpunk discussion list, so I already knew that it had to be good because they're a bunch of punk rock snobs. Glad to see their recommendation rang true! |

PJ Harvey goes Electro ! Submitted on: 2002-03-15 |

| I expected the shouting to be LOUDER on this CD. Actually it is more a casual-mellow singalong voice.. With some X-rated lyrics. Humor yes. Very serious, yes. * * I like the CD better than i expected. Huray 4 eaches! // ... |
