| Well since i got this cd I could not stop listening to it. Ohh and by the way this is not skinny puppy so do not compare...they are very different( I love them both!!!). There is one song i dont really like that much and that is water but other than that this is a solid cd. |

It's not Puppy and it's not supposed to be, but it's awesome anyway! Submitted on: 2007-03-04 |

First of all, I love industrial and electronic music in general. I've enjoyed this music for probably about 13 years now, but it took me about 11 of those years for Skinny Puppy's music to grow on me. Their album PROCESS was the stepping stone for me into their music, and since then I've enjoyed almost everything they put out (except some of the really, really early stuff and "Download" from Last Rights).
Anyway, since I enjoy SP so much I figured I'd start looking into side projects for them just like I had done with Ministry before them. OhGr was the first one that I checked out and I'm definitely not sorry!
I don't know what else to say except for "WOW"! As I put in the title this album isn't anything like Puppy except for the fact that it's an electronic music album. The music on here is very upbeat and fast for the most part and doesn't feel as dark as SP music. This isn't a bad thing because it's nice to see that the band members have other sides to them.
I think that the music is very danceable, but I wouldn't call it "poppy" in the least. There is quite a bit of distortion and noise amongst the music just like you'd expect in a good industrial album, but it's just not the dark grinding sound that you know and love from SP. Again, that's not a bad thing it's just different!
"Cracker" is my favorite song on the album. I can crank the song, sing along with it, and simply can't sit still! However, all of the songs on album are great.
So, in closing, if you like Skinny Puppy or industrial/electronic music in general and you want to hear what else Ogre can do then get this album! If you like it then you should also pick up the second Ohgr album, SUNNYPSYOP as well. |

THE CHILD DEVIANT Submitted on: 2006-12-12 |

| Wow!!!!! This is the first album by Skinny Puppy frontman Nivek Ogre. He spells his name OhGr for his solo album. ohGr is quite a bit different from Skinny Puppy, though I doubt verry many Puppy Fans will be dissapointed. The music of 'Welt' is verry hard to categorize....pop/electro/trip hop/industrial. However categorized, every single song is excellent....verry entertaining and catchy dance beats for the evil herd. A classic album with a cult following of freaks of all sorts. |

Something Different on the Industrial Scene Submitted on: 2006-06-10 |

| First of all, let me say that this isn't what I'd consider Industrial persay, it's just what iTunes identified it as. I would say it is more goth/pop/electronic if I had to give it a genre. It is very catchy and danceable. I believe that it is a very accessible album, even though it isn't that popular. I like to compare the track "Earthworm" as a combination of The Streets, a tiny bit of Queen, and a happy NIN. "Minus" is probably the hardest track that you'll encounter. |
