the truth is Submitted on: 2008-10-28 |
|
| ive had this cd for a long time and i still jam it to this day. I've actually gone through a couple of copies of it. but the truth is, screw didn't do all these songs. this was one of his last projects. actually darrel scott, (the one who stumbled upon the slow sound first, not invented the style. just kinda noticed somethin on some turn tables) finished this album after screw passed. it's worthy of bein copped. but if you want the real deal, screweduprecords.com is where it's at. more original screw cd's than you need. and that was screw's store. so show a lil love for the real king of da south. dubz up baby "souf sia fo lia" aka "southside 4 life" |

Tha Beginning Submitted on: 2004-03-16 |

| For those who put DJ Screw down and saying that Micheal Watts is better doesn't know the game as well as yall think. First of all you have to come in the game with your own style and not use someone else's. I'm not hating on Micheal Watts but Screw did that. He paid the way for many Texas rappers that was trying to get into the door. For those who become so well known off of others invention is much of a non maker for me. I'll always be old school for those who are real with there game. Screw will always be the man and will always hold that title, ( THE LEGEND ) so for all get with it. To be a sucess you have to find your own sucess, and for the ones who steal will always follow. You dig what I'm saying. Some CD's are not as high rated some wanted them to be, but as a person and skills to lead and help others to not follow, one of the Souths best and well above Watts. Its not always how you make your music, its who and Y, (not all about the money sometimes/ Have you ever thought about the love of the music). Peep the game and where it came form before misjudging it. |

good but not his best Submitted on: 2003-12-19 |
|
| this wasnt one of his best but it still was pretty good. To the guy that said dj michael "5000 watts" was better doesnt know screw at all. 1st off Dj Screw started it all so in my view 5000 watts is a biter and all his records are weak. every member or the S.U.C could freestyle all the rappers that came from there like lil keke,ESG,fat pat,big moe, Al-D have all great rap albums and are mainstream, and know one can chop and screw like the inventor himself DJ Screw get all of the albums you can. The cd title tells all "the legend" nobody well ever be better than screw just like nobody will be a better rapper than 2pac. this is a pretty good cd like his others when you are at that "other level" |
