What we do will echo forever... Submitted on: 2002-09-11 |

"Love is what matters the most." Wes King's CD, "What Matters Most" is an awesome, touching, meaningful album. Every song is written with a specific purpose... which Wes tells you about right before the lyrics entry. For example, before the song "There is a God", Wes writes " 'Religion will come and go, but God remains' Victor Hugo- I was on an airplane coming home from somewhere and experienced the most violent turbulence I have ever experienced. I thought for a few eternal minutes that the plane may go down. I picked up the nearest paper, a sick bag, and wrote down these very words..." Wes' insight and his willingness to share the meaningful stories behind his songs give this album a personal feel. Beyond the personal touch, the songs and music alone (without the comments) are some of my favorites! I love this whole CD! This is a definite must have! |

A must have for Wes King fans-especially if you are a parent Submitted on: 2002-04-08 |

| This is Wes King's most personal work to date. If you have had the pleasure of getting to know this artist, it is very evident that indeed this an album filled with proverbial words of wisdom to his children. If you are a parent, you will most likely break into tears during many of the tracks. The songs pack an emotional wallop which should strike a chord with anyone who has children. Current Wes King fans should most definitely purchase this CD, it is truly rife with the stuff of what matters most, God, Family and Community! |

A few great songs, but Wes has gone trivial Submitted on: 2002-01-01 |

| First off, I am a big fan of Wes King. His music/ministry has meant much to me over the years and his last album was one of the great Christian music CDs ever. That is why I am so very disappointed with this CD which he touts as "a proverb" to his sons - if that was his intent, he succeeded with three songs, failed miserable with three and knows about the other four? Several of the songs appear to be closer to Bob Carlisle than Wes King from a theological perspective (both lyric flow and content). Worth buying? Perhaps, but not if you are expecting a full CD of worthwhile, meaningfull songs. |

| Wes King is back after a 4 year hiatus from music making and touring. Now he's back and better than ever. This is a great inpirational/pop acoustic record. He recorded every song for his twin boys. This is great music with a very sentimental feel to it. I highly recommend this album to anyone who even considers themselves a small fan of Wes. |
