This... Rox Me Like A Baby! Submitted on: 2009-08-09 |

Wow! If you love listening to Roxette's Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle, then you will absolutely be on The JoyRide of your Life once you push this DVD into your player! It is like finally meeting them for real. First let me say I have never been so deeply affected by any one band as I have been with Roxette. No, I not a roadey, or a groupey, I am just a hopeless romantic, and if you are, or are thinking seriously about becoming one, then you need this DVD.
Now I must lay your fears to rest, for I read one of the prior reviews concerning the format compatability, and how disappointed the reviewer was that they could not view this item. Beleive me, I had some big fears as I pushed the "Cart" button, but I wanted this too much, and I left it all up to the gods. I can not express my joy and happiness more than to say IT WORKS!
What you will see are the 35 official videos spanning from their first in 1987 "Neverending Love", when Marie had shoulder length brown tresses, all the way through 2001's "Milk and Toast and Honey" featuring a more mature Marie extolling the comforts that bring her peace. My personal favorite video? Glad you asked, "Listen to your Heart" filmed live at a castle ruin in Spain in 1989. I have never had a music video affect me so profoundly, made my eyes fill with tears of elation. But Then, there are the Rarities; Five additional videos, four produced in Sweden for their fans, and a very touching "Silver Blue" made on tour in 1989. Now if that isn't enough, and Roxette fans Never get enough, there are not one, but two Documentaries: "The Making of Joyride" (1991) @ 50 minutes wherein filmmaker Mats Jonstam documents nearly a year long odysey of promotional trips, behind the scenes stuff, interviews etc. You get to know these artists- it is great. The second offering "Really Roxette" (1996) @ 52 minutes is a road flick around the Crash! Boom! Bang! Tour of 1995, produced by Peter O Ekberg for Swedish Television. I actually watched this one first, as it reveals The Pair as more seasoned world travelers and Ambassadors of Good Will, and shows the delicate realities of being rock stars while juggling their personal lives. I then watched the earlier documentry, which exposed the wide eyed and younger Roxette being swept up in their well deserved fame.
So as you can see it is more than a pocket full of fun, and took me several days to view it all just once. |

wrong format Submitted on: 2009-07-29 |

| It was in the PAL format which doesn't play on my dvd player and apparently according to other reviews here i'm not the only one who has encountered this problem. Be careful when ordering this and ensure that you can play PAL or buy elsewhere. |

| All Videos Ever Made and More: Complete Collection This has a huge collection of their videos including killer cuts like "She's Got The Look" and "Dressed For Success". Over 90 minutes of material! The latter part of the collection, though, gets more melodic and has less of a 'snap' to it than the earlier stuff. However, I'm told they're still performing in various parts of the world. |

Awesome Collection Submitted on: 2007-06-24 |

For those who do manage to get this DVD playing on their computer this is a real awesome collection of all the hits of Roxette and some that many will be unfamiliar with perhaps. Even more intersting than the music videos however are the special extras. The documentaries both are captivating viewing, very well made look into what it is really like to be a rockstar. It is a must-see for anyone intersted in the music industry whether you like Roxette or not.
