A Beautiful Soundtrack Submitted on: 2009-09-28 |

| This is a simply amazing Soundtrack. James Horner combines flowing vocals (Charlotte Church), with an intense orchestral sound. This is culminated best in "Alicia Descends into Nashes Dark World", in which a four-note theme is repeated for seven minutes, without growing old or repetitive. This is a simply amazing soundtrack. | I knew that I had to own this soundtrack when I first heard the music in the film. Haunting and emotional, I like listening to it when I'm in the right mood. I wouldn't classify it as "background music" to set a pleasant atmosphere in a room, because it demands attention--but not in an obnoxious way. |

Another Excellent Work by James Horner Submitted on: 2008-12-16 |

| When watching A Beautiful Mind for the first time several years ago, I was immediately drawn into the musical score and felt that it brought an extra dimension of depth and emotion to the film. I love the fact that they got Charlotte Church to provide the voicing and she adds a great deal of beauty to the various pieces. Listening to the score brought back those feelings and now I can't wait to watch the film again. Bravo James Horner! |

great book, good picture, good musical score Submitted on: 2008-03-19 |

They took some liberties with the story the drama was well done and apparently was satisfactory to the Nash's. At first I was infuriated because the scenes with the CIA agent seemed so real that you thought Howard was suggesting that some of Nash's illusions were real. But far into the story you learn that the best friend character and the CIA agent are imaginary.
Very good actimg by Russell Crowe. This is enjoyable even for those who don't have an interest in mathematics. I took my children (10 and 12) and they enjoyed it also with the help of some adult explanations. The music was excellent also.
