| This is lauryn hills best show. She was so spiritual and so intellectual and so real. This is a worthy purchase. I would tell anyone who is purchasing this cd it is a worthy following to The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. Buy it you will not be disappointed. I am actually glad I bought this. |

One Of The Most Powerful & Moving Performances Of All Time Submitted on: 2009-10-19 |

I was just reading through some of the one star review and felt compelled to write a review countering what they had to say. I have heard more from God through this record than any record (Christian or Secular) that I have ever bought. There is soooooo much freedom just pouring out of this women. I have wept and wept at some of the things she has said on here. This woman understands so clearly the grace and mercy of Christ and it totally comes through on the record. I would love it if the whole record was her just talking. I often find myself in the car changing it to all the interludes instead of the songs because I feel that they are just as powerful if not more powerful than what she is saying in the songs. I can tell the word of God lives in her. I would say next to Bob Dylan and Derek Webb's records, this album has some of 1.) The most creative lyrics I have ever heard
"Moving down the streams of my lifetime
Pulls the fascination in my sleeve
Cooling off the fire of my longing
Boiling off my cold within his heat
Melting down the walls of inhibition
Evaporating all of my fears
Baptizing me into complete submission
Dissolving my condition with his tears
He's just like the water
I ain't felt this way in years
He's just like the water
I ain't felt this way in years"
2.) Some of the most life giving truths and 3.) Just real freedom from self and from the chains of the enemy.
Seriously, if you want to understand the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ this CD will help you. It will change your life if your willing to look past the rawness into the beauty of it. I pray that God is moving in a mighty way in her life. |

great lyrics Submitted on: 2009-03-17 |

| I am not a fan of this type of music style. Probably because I grew up in more of the grunge and rock type of music. However, Lauryn's lyrics are most incredible and the wisdom that she shares within them make it an honor to be heard. I appreciate it and give it five stars for those reasons alone... |

Every Song has Something Somewhere that you can TOTALLY Relate to!!! Submitted on: 2009-02-13 |

| My personal opinion was that every song tells a different story and somewhere some how there was something that I could relate too. I love the way she says that she used to get all dressed up for her shows and all and now she doesn't. We got to see her in a different more natural light. My absolute favorite song is: "I Got to Find Some Peace of Mind." I think that she speaks for most women who struggle in one way or another everyday in everyway in everyday life! Layuren Hill is one of my favorite artist. She does not disappoint... this acoustic CD complilation presents her in a "naked", honest, and heart-filled performace. I just wish I was there live! LOL! I do reccommend it! |
