Disappointed in the CD Submitted on: 2009-09-29 |

I should have taken the time to listen to all the sound bytes on Amazon before I purchased this CD. There were a few that were nice mandolin renditions of classic Italian songs. But after a couple of tracks, everything began to sound the same. There was not much excitment in the orchestra at all; I don't quite know how to describe it, but it seemed to lack some soul.
Anyway, for the aficionado of mandolin orchestras, this CD might be worth considering, but I was disappointed in my purchase. I encourage buyers to listen to all the bytes before purchase. It may be for you, but it definitely wasn't for me. |

Mandolin Orchestra Lacked Excitement Submitted on: 2009-09-07 |

| We are Italian Event Planners and purchased this CD in the hope we could use it as background music for some of our events. While, as one reviewer mentioned, it is probably okay as background music while you make tomato sauce, it certainly didn't fill the bill for us. While the tracks were solid musically, it simply lacked "passione." After one or two songs, it all sounded the same. It was, in our opinion, a very boring CD not worth purchasing. |

Wish I could have heard some clips before I bought Submitted on: 2009-03-08 |

| Our family loves Italian music, being 100% Italian, but we find it very frustrating that Amazon no longer allows us to hear clips of the CDs they offer for sale. So, in essence, we are "buying blind." The last CD I bought was great, but this one I could have done without. Nothing against mandoline orchestras, but this one seemed to drone on and on, with one song sounding like the next. I suppose it is fine for strickly background music, but we wanted it to augment some of our other CDs for an Italian anniversary party, and it just didn't do the job. Just our opinion, but before we spend our money on any other CD on Amazon, I think we will need to hear a few clips. Had we done so with this one, we could have saved a few bucks. |

Perfect Italian Theme Music!!! Submitted on: 2008-05-13 |

| I bought this to use as background music for an Italian themed dinner and it was perfect! It didn't have a lot of vocals or distracting instruments- it really created the perfect mood for my Italian themed evening. |

Dinner In Italy Submitted on: 2008-02-10 |

| I purchased CD to use as backgroud music for a reception with an Italian theme. It set the perfect mood and tone. I have used it for special dinners since and totally love it. All but two songs are music and the two with words are not overwhelming. Upbeat / romantic. |
