Outlawz drop 1 on Rap-A-Lot! Submitted on: 2005-11-15 |
|
On Neva Surrenda, like most of Outlawz underground albums made after 1996 release Still I Rise with 2pac, most of the Outlawz stuff sounds hardcore underground like of BTNH, Three 6 Mafia, UGK or Geto Boys. Unlike Kurupt, Outlawz Young Noble, Fatal, Kastro, Edi, Kadafi, Napolean and Hussein had kept it Hard & Rowdy like on the tight song Gatz Up! Outlawz still impress me with the song Move Something featuring Willie D of The Geto Boys, and Outlawz stay grim & threatning like on Not Real, which is defintly horror-core! Outlawz may seem more Underground than West Coast G like other than on the song Why? which Outlawz proved to be true West Coast G's from New Jersy, though Young Noble represents Altadena, CA.
Outlawz best are *2, 3(featuring Hot Boys?), *4(featuring Willie D), 5, 6, 7(featuring Big Syke), *8, 9, 10, *11, 12(featuring Big Syke & Yukmouth), 13, 14 & 15. |

another solid album from 4 of the Lawz Submitted on: 2005-04-20 |

Not as good as their other group albums but still a quality album in itself. Packed with 14 songs from their Rap-A-Lot days in the late 90's and early 00's, there is no classics, 2 near classics, 1 I skip, 2 ok songs, and the rest are good. Guests are on 5 of the songs. Production is pretty good, handled by Rap-A-Lot greats Mike Dean (3 songs) and Mr. Lee (11 songs). They still delivers ome of them deep though provoking lyrics as well as some more gangsta lyrics that made us all love the Outlawz from day one. No songs with 2Pac (R.I.P.), Kadafi (R.I.P.) or Fatal once again like with their last 2 albums. A must have album for fans of the Outlawz.

Outlaw for life! Submitted on: 2005-03-18 |

Outlawz holin it down without 'Pac and they are as good as when they were with their leader. out of all the three 'Lawz albums this one is the worst, 'ride with us' and 'novakane' are better then this but it doesn't mean this album is not goo. My fav. outlawz song of all time 'us' is in here, i like 'lost & turned out', 'what side u on', 'gat's up', 'pleasure of sin', 'everything is alright', 'black diamond'.
So if you like 'Pac or if you like the 'lawz then you should buy this if you don't have it.
RIP 2PAC
OUTLAW FOR LIFE. |
