Genius needs no introduction.
Although, before I first listened to this album, the notion of "Recording" drugs never occur to me, and if it did, it would sound ridicules.
Now I am an Audio drug addict.

Highly overrated... Submitted on: 2008-01-16 |

| After enjoying the Odyssey album, I was looking forward to hearing #1, especially with all the glowing reviews here. Unfortunately, it was really not all that good, with more scattered sounds than the more "together" songs from the other album. And what the hell was the awful song "Megacolon" doing on this album? I'd say to pass on this one and stick with Odyssey. |

Electroclassic Fisher Spooner's #1 is a Great experience Submitted on: 2006-03-11 |

If you havenet heard Fisher Spooner's #1 and are looking for something thats progressive yet timeless and totally enjoyable electronic music then this is an album you have to check out. While the hype over electroclash has past for the most part there are a few albums from that genre that really stand out as brilliant and this is one of them. With a mix of true musicality, great vocal performance and a feeling of real live performance this album captures the true adventure and artiness of the best NY parties of the early part of this decade.
There are song that are real hits like emerge and turn-on and others that are really great album pieces but the album's cohesiveness really makes it one that can be played the whole way through and is wholly worth more than the sum of its parts |

Album is superb, but doesn't deserve a sticker Submitted on: 2006-01-24 |

I have bought three of Fischerspooner's cd just because I like what I hear so far on the samples and seen the video for Never Win on Logo and heard the song Emerge on Comcast's Music Choice channel Electronica.
I just want to say that this cd did not deserve a Explicit Lyrics sticker. There is no bad words through out the entire album except the S word (you know the opposite of crap or poop, I can't write it or it will be edited out by the system) twice on track 12, Mega C.
This album is cool and doesn't stray from sounding like synth's from a Super Nintendo game's soundtrack. I do believe it needs more synth's and maybe some other elements. It's worth a pickup and a listen. By the way the last two tracks are wrong. Mega C is track 12 and the remix of Emerge is track 13. If you see that the tracks are like this: (12. Mega C, 13. Emerge Remix), this review was written before the updated change.
Also the song Never Win on Odyssey is different than what you hear on the video, it doesn't have those Super Ninetendo game like sound effects and it's a little bit longer too. |
