Tight...

I'm from New Orleans and I have all Cash money Cd's underground and mainstream. This is a bunch of verses that were laying around in the vault and Mannie put beats on them some of the verses are str8 from older songs previously recorded. Word is Baby owed Universal another Hott boy albulm but the whole crew left besides Wayne. Soooo they hooked up like I said old verses against new beats and a little help from some newer cashmoney members and made this CD. You can tell Wayne made some new verses b/c on a couple tracks he sounds like the Wayne of today and on trhe rest like the little kid voice of yesterday. But all that said still a Hott soilid albulm and I love it.
Let this cd burn. Literally!

Sigh. These trendfollowing cookie-cutter record labels never change. In keeping up with the tradition with other record labels like Deathrow and Bad Boy, Cash Money put together a slapdash collection of tracks from the now defunct Hot Boys that were scrapped for very good reasons. It stinks! I can honestly name the good songs on here which are The Introduction, My Section, Down Here, Spin Tha Bend(the best track) and 3 Strikes. These songs should have been released or put on Guerrilla Warfare. Songs like Stick & Move, Young Riders, Off With Ya Head, Up In Yo Hood and Gangsta N**** sound uninspired and bland. Even the title track Let Em Burn is boring as hell. Do Whatcha Do is pretty much Bling Bling Part 2(or Bling Bling the remix). Mannie Fresh seems to have a hard time realizing that if a skit is unfunny, cut off before it finishes just like that stupid Bobby Creep skit on Ja Rule's Blood In My Eye. Bottom Line: Let'Em Burn is Cash Money's pitiful attempt to capitalize off a group that will never get back together due to one member's stultifying arrogance(hint hint Lil Wayne).
Their songs(except for the good songs mentioned) were weak and Mannie Fresh's production was already getting redundant and boy does it show! If you have Get It How U Live and Guerrilla Warfare then stick with that. This so-called album is a joke. Bad Boy Records oops I mean Deathrow Records oops I mean Loud Records oops I meant to say Cash Money Records should be ashamed of themselves for puting this out. The Hot Boys are never going to be back together so let go!

If you like the Hot Boy$ and the OLD Cash Money, you would absolutely love this album. I know it didn't come out when the Hot Boys were still together, but it is smokin'. I knew it was hot when I heard the first track. I love this album! Another hot buy and must have is Juvenile's 400 Degreez and B.G.'s Chopper City in the Ghetto.
Very Surprised!!!!!

I was very hesitant to pick up this album for many reasons, 1- because it was obvious that Cash Money Records time was up, 2- I was almost positive that the Hot Boys had broken up so I figured this was just a bunch of junk that was thrown together.

But I always like the albums that the Hot Boys put out so I went ahead an took a BIG chance with this album and I was very surprised at how good it was. Its not a classic CD or anything but its good to put in and just ride to or to listen to when your tired of everything else.... and thats pretty much how I was feelin at the time.

So if you're a fan of Cash Money's music then I suggest you give this a listen, more than likely you'll like it.
