| Elements of the album are awesome, but it quickly gets mired in the repetitive dub land and makes me feel sleepy and bored. I'm not actually a fan of dub so maybe if you are you'll like this album. |

| This album came recommended via Amazon after purchasing works by Shpongle and Younger Brother. I listened to the samples and clicked "one-click-buy" without reading the description or other buyers' reviews. Now that I'm listening to the entire album, I can't help but express my delight in its HEAVY DUB and reggae orientation. I was expecting to relish in DJ/trance/electronica delights but they just turned out to be the icing on the DUB "cake." THIS ALBUM IS GREAT! I will definitely buy more works by Ott. |

i just bought, downloaded and am very much digging a handful of ott songs (not all on this release): 'smoked glass and chrome', 'splitting an atom', 'mi-loony-um (a floating butterfly stings like a bee)' and 'lsd (world sheet of closed string mix)'. it may not be too kosh to send you folks elsewhere, but seeing that father amazon doesn't stock this title, i'll let you in on a litle secret: audiolunchbox.
if hearing the standard 'if you like shpongle, you'll love ott' doesn't do it for you, go to said website and listen to the samples and become a believer: ott does some awesome stuff. it's truly a breath of fresh air in a very stale roomful of largely thoughtless, unimaginative techno. i eagerly look forward to future releases by this very promising artist. |
