Kill Bill: Volume 1 Reviews from Amazon.com

4.0 out of 5 stars One of Tarantino's best compilations., March 3, 2012

Coupled with a few sound bites of dialogue from the movie itself (probably so we don't forget the context of the album), this is one of Tarantino's best compilations. As usual though there's a few tracks missing. He probably couldn't get the rights to put them on the album, is my guess.

Purchased to use one song for my wedding party entering reception ballroom. Versatile and fun music. Be sure you have the movie on hand though, hearing this will just make you want to watch the whole thing.

4.0 out of 5 stars Some great music!, September 20, 2011

I watched this film, and on my way home from the movie theatre I stopped at the CD store to order this disk.

It's a very strange mix of songs, most of which I love, some of which I utterly loath (Woo Hoo), but the presence of the awesome songs makes this one of my favourite CDs.

It also has a bunch of short sound effect clips on the end, if you're into that kind of thing!

4.0 out of 5 stars A Killer Of A Soundtrack..., May 18, 2011
The 1st part of Quentin Tarentino's epic two-part saga of revenge is quite good. i like all the tracks, especially "Battle Without Honour Or Humanity" & "The Lonely Shepherd." WARNING: The track Queen Of The Crime Council has strong language.

KILL BILL VOL. 2 REVIEW

The 2nd part of Quentin Tarentino's epic two-part saga of revenge is not as good as the first. I like the tracks "A Few Words From The Bride," "Il Tramonto," "A Silhouette Of Doom," "Truly And Utterly Bill" "Malaguena Salerosa" and "Urami Bushii." My only complaint is that the track Black Mamba is inappropriate for this movie (and in general).

QT is a master of making movies. But, he's also a master of movie music. He knows how to find music that best suits the movie and best accentuates what's going on in particular scenes. This has a wide variety of music genres and all of them are excellent! I love Tarantino's movies and I love the music he chooses. The man is brilliant and this CD is awesome.

Good music for a good movie, was feeling slightly cheated that the last 4 songs are just a few second blips of movie...

Has some good catchy songs that are fun to listen to. Also some unexpected monologues from the movie and some that weren't included in the movie. This makes the CD perhaps a bit less listenable as a whole. All in all pretty good though.

1.0 out of 5 stars Bang Bang vocals, November 16, 2009
This review is from: Kill Bill: Volume 1 (Audio CD)
This cd was not purchased on Amazon but was bought in store. I don't know if the Amazon version has the vocals version of Bang Bang but mine DID NOT. It is purely instrumental. And I was hopping mad. Please ask Amazon before purchasing.

Excellent soundtrack! The only flaw is it doesn't include the song "Death Rides a Horse" aka "Da uomo a uomo" which is the song played right as Beatrix is about to cut off Sophie's arm.

5.0 out of 5 stars Makes me want to watch the movie (again), April 30, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The Kill Bill Vol. 1 soundtrack proves that Tarantino knows how to pick his music. From Nancy Sinatra's voice to short sound clips, you're able to reminisce to the time when you first saw the movie. However, as with most movie soundtracks, this will likely be more to a fan's liking over someone who didn't watch or just didn't like the movie.
