Enchanting Submitted on: 2005-07-07 |

| The music of Eisley is simply enchanting. Their vocal and instumental harmony coupled with the haunting melodies of their songs seem take the listener on a journey through another world. Their lyrics, on the other hand, make no sence to me whatsoever (which is why this review got 4 stars instead of 5), but the pure beauty of their music more than makes up the difference. My only regret in purchasing this CD is that I didn't just go ahead and buy their new full length album. I can recomend Eisley without hesitation. |

great band Submitted on: 2005-03-15 |

| this is a fresh sound in the midst of mainstream pop and pseudo punk rock out there. but, i can definitely compare their feel of music to sixpence none the richer, which was an amazing band, and so is eisley. this is music we can all appreciate. |

Eisley is Simply Stunning Submitted on: 2005-01-19 |

It's impossible to throw Eisley into one category of music, so attempting to label them is pointless and rather irrelevant. What matters is that "Marvelous Things" is a beautiful little EP that will probably be better recognized and appreciated after the "Room Noises" LP comes out.
The standout track is undoubtedly the title song "Marvelous Things." Just as most of the more successful Eisley songs, the beginning of the song is eerily simple and builds until it explodes into a beautiful harmonic chorus.
There are few bands that sound this good. Eisley is a band, like Steely Dan or Queen, that sounds like they are meant to play with each other.
Any of the 4 songs are recommended. "Marvelous Things" is an EP filled with promise that is more than worth the purchase. |
