| The transition from LP to the original CD was botched. The song Even Cowgirls Get the Blues got its first verse cut off, giving it an odd start. This remastered CD has the complete song that was on the LP. The sound of this CD seems a bit fuller than the other one. I guess the two extra songs on the CD justifies a new release, but I didn't care for them. The restored song on the new one is reason enough. |

Emmylou's "Quarter Moon in a Ten Cent Town" was greatly produced and mixed. It was a great album. After that Emmylou decided to return to country roots. It was a good idea but unfortunatelity the songs seem to have almost no production at all. Some of the songs are great, like "Sister's Coming Home" and "Save the Last Dance for Me" but they could have even better if they would have tried to produce it a little bit more. I'm a big fan of many Emmylou's albums, like "Pieces of the Sky" but this album was a disappointment. Emmylou has a great voice but if you compare this to other 70's albums you notice the difference.
