Quality Over Quantity Submitted on: 2009-07-09 |

| Murs is one of the realest and illest from the underground scene. A lot of people are comparing this to Nas's Illmatic. Those people are retarted because that would be an unbiased comparison. The album however proves that a short album with quality is a WHOLE LOT BETTER than an album that basically fills up a cd with unrelated songs. Quality over quantity is always a sure bet, and thats all you need. This album is a little over half an hour worth of music but every minute is worth it. I love the fact that 9th Wonder handles the production for this album because he is one of my favorite hip hop producers of all time. The beats on this album are great, filled with soul and delivers with raw and hard hitting basses. Murs rapping style is a little unorthodox in my opinion, but thats what makes him more interesting. As a rapper, metaphors and straightforward wit seems to catch attention these days, Murs is not like thos kind of rappers. Theres is no denying his skill on the mic but it takes a bit getting used to. I love this album, a great Hip Hop album that people should check out, especially if you love 9th Wonder's beats cuz these are some of his best. |

IMPRESSIVE COLLABO! Submitted on: 2008-02-26 |
|
BOTTOM LINE:
This CD gave both of them some nice shine!
It was actually the first time I heard of 9th and Murs. Both on top of their game. 9th Wonder goes on to be one of the hottest producers in rap and Murs solidifies his rep as a killer emcee.
Nice collabo! |

| 9th Wonder on production and Murs' word play make this one hot CD. My favorite tracks are "Freak These Tales" and "Walk Like A Man." Murs is a breathe of fresh air for all of Los Angeles... |

| This CD has three important things. 1. Solid Production 2. Solid Rhyme Flow 3. Intelligent Lyrics. If those three things are important to you, then I highly recommend going out and buying this. This CD isnt groundbreaking or revolutionary, but overall it is very good. |
