::Disappointingly disjointed Submitted on: 2008-05-01 |

| It's like Miss Kittin didn't know what to do with her debut solo album so she did it all. As a result it's a distracting and ultimately uninspired release. There's a rap track (Requiem For A Hit) and a Frecnh lounge number (3eme Sexe) and a rockin' punk ditty (Meet Sue Be She) and a drony dub bit (Dub About Me) and bunch of other forgettable tracks. For me, Miss Kittin is at her best when she talk/sings in that oh-so-bored voice backed by a throbbing trance or house beat, like Madame Hollywood with Felix da Housecat or Walk On By with The Hacker. The only three tracks that live up to this is: Clone Me with its Chris & Cosey inspired beats, Miss Kittin's lyrics about cloning herself, and the cool break in the middle when Miss Kittin says "Hello Kitty, you look strange today."; The Soundtrack Of Now (the strongest track on the disc) which could easily have been pulled from First Album. It's a straight forward 4-on-the-floor trance beat with Miss Kittin yelling, "This is the soundtrack of now!" intermittently over the beats; and Allergic with its galloping housebeats and Miss Kittin singing "I'm allergic to myself." Had the rest of the disc been similar to these three tracks it would have been awesome but alas it's not. I Com is worth a listen if you're a Kittin fan but I could only give it three stars for the three tracks I liked. |

Kinda sucks, but not really Submitted on: 2008-04-21 |

| Although I am completely enamoured with Miss Kittin's latest offering, Batbox, which is an excellent album, I find this album a bit annoying: it's hard to listen through all the tracks on one sitting. Lyrics are for the most part superficial and meaningless. No detectable coherence linking the songs together. Probably a good nightclub set, but I like my music for driving and relaxation. It does have the merit of indicating that Miss Kittin, as a developing artist, has dratically improved since I.Com. |

| With twinges of Warp Records, Punk, and Depeche Mode, this electro album is worthy of any fan of Miss Kittin. |

No one can be miss kittin...
And no better that her to be a featured artist...
Miss Kittin & The Hacker....What a breathtaking electroclash couple...Miss kittin & felix da Housecat....Both made the best unforgiven era of contemprary glittery retro electro music with their 2001 "Kittinz & The Glitz"...Miss kittin & Golden Boy: Wild couple with a soft disguise ..With Sven Vath..They invented robotised music..but Miss Kittin Alone...I doubt it
I mean after being with these talented electro pioneers and kept joining forces that resulted very manipulative albums that every electroclash fan should buy...What do I GET? A big mass distortion of unorganised sounds that sounded very common and out of style in other times...
All trackes are okay or less...for me...the entire cd (with the exception of track one & two) misses some character of favourite kitten ...It's like a nearly talented artist made this and subjected it as a first experiance....
This is way too far for continous hearing and falling in love with....
Although I'm still a big fan of kittin...I DESCRIBE THIS AS A BIG SPOT ON HER CAREER ....If You're a collector...get it ...If not, trust me....Go to her "First Album" with The Hacker. |

I first heard Miss Kittin (or Caroline Herve) on Felix Da Housecat's album `Kittenz and Thee Glitz' where her deadpan vocals dominated `Silver Screen Shower Scene', the best song on that album. She is also from that same electroclash scene as Chicks on Speed and Tiga.
`I Com' is her second album and is more club-friendly then her previous outing. The beats are more in your face and her sense of irony is stronger, with track 2 `Requiem for a Hit' in particular standing out. First half of the album is excellent, it does takes some more listens to get into the second half. Another good reason for owning this album is the inclusion of the video for `Professional Distortion'. An album for the suicidegirls.com generation.
