This album is completely gnarly Submitted on: 2007-04-27 |

Benny Benassi and his cousin Alle Benassi teamed up to make the Benassi Bros. Pumphonia is their first album and let me tell you it is great. The album starts out with the hit single "Illusion" featuring Sandy on the vocals. Next is "Turn Me Up" also featuring Sandy. Next is "Rumenian" which is about Violetas homeland Rumenia. Then its "Get Better" featuring Sandy on vocals. The the Benassi Bros. teamed up with The Biz to record the worst son on this album "The Liar." Next is Paul French, member of The Biz, for "Memory Of Love." Next comes "I Feel So Fine," with Sandy on vocals. The Bros. then use "I Love My Sex" featuring Violeta, which was an extra bonus hit on Satisfaction. Next comes the best song on this album "Hit My Heart" Dhany is on the vocals on this song. "Hit My Heart" was another single released on this album. The Album finishes up with "Time is What You Need," "Don't Touch Too Much," both with Paul French and ends with the Sflow version of "Get Better."
The songs to listen for on this album are in the following order of gnarliness: "Hit My Heart," "Get Better," "Illusion," "Rumenian," and "Turn Me Up." This album definately lives up to its predecessor, Hypnotica. |

An Excellent CD Submitted on: 2005-09-20 |

| A few months ago when I was going through an MP3 collection of various music, I came accross a few good trances. Listening to them a few times, I realized they were in fact, quite good. I have to say I was not a trance person at all, but these got me hooked. Later I found out that they were by Benny Benassi or the Benassi Bros. In their quality they stood out from the rest -- never a dull moment, with captivating and hyptonizing themes. I went ahead and bought Hypnotica. It was like a collection of "favorites" in trance music -- only the best. Then I also bought Pumphonia. I have to say, I listened through Hypnotica a couple of times and it was great, but when I got to Pumphonia, I was really blown away. Some people have said that it doesn't match up to Hypnotica, but I would disagree. Hypnotica is "classic" Benny Benassi, while Pumphonia brings in originality that I didn't expect. The tracks are really diverse and original, not your usual trance scene of the same dull beats over and over. Some tracks are slower, some faster, one is even in a foreign language. I enjoyed every single track on the CD -- every single one I believe is excellent. Since I've listened to Pumphonia I haven't even gone back to listen to Hypnotica again, although I probably will, maybe once I get over Pumphonia. :) And compared to other trance music that I've heard, nothing matches up to Benny Benassi. The quality of his music stands out from the rest big-time. |

Nothing more than an okay supplement to Hypnotica Submitted on: 2005-03-03 |

I was pretty disappointed in this b/c I thought they would've refined Hypnotica. But I guess it's hard to follow that act. Maybe they should collaborate with The Biz more often.
Don't get me wrong, I love the "chainsaw" and pounding bass. And this is still a pretty good album. But I'd suggest Hypnotica over this. |

Good old chainsaw sound... Submitted on: 2004-08-09 |

| Yes, this CD sounds totally the same as everything else that Benny Benassi and his brother did before. However, if you really like it, you just can't get enough. I think it is even better than "Hypnotica". Well, just a little bit. Benny Benassi knows what people like and keeps bringing this awesome sound to us. Keep going! |
