| there isn't a song on the whole cd that i don't absolutely love! the music, lyrics, talent that it takes to put something so phenom together is a gift from God and i'm so happy to see someone of this calibur doing it all in the name of Jesus! i have two of these: one for my car, one for work. EXCELLENT!!!!! |

He Lives Submitted on: 2009-05-02 |

| When Fred sings about the angel that declares, "He lives, Christ has risen, like He said He would", I know that I know that EVERYTHING God revealed in "The Word" is true. My heart also swells with the power of how free I live, because He died and rose again. |

Awesome album Submitted on: 2008-04-16 |

I grew up listening to Fred with Commissioned and his first two solo projects. They were very soulful and urban. I was kind of disappointed when he left commissioned and formed a choir because I knew that would be the end of the urban Fred I'd come to love. So this album takes me back to the Fred I use to love. You've still got those choir, praise songs in there. But it's nice to hear fred do his own bgvs again.
So if you love commissioned, and Fred's first two solo projects, then this is the album to get. Though this one has mainly a Neo-Soul feel to it. He even has the Neo-Soul artist, Musiq on two tracks. But all in all, very good album. |

Not his best, but my favorite Fred Hammond CD Submitted on: 2008-01-11 |

| Even three of four years later, this CD has become timeless. Celebrate (He Lives!) sets the album off and there is quality throughout from the jazzy Just A Closer Walk to the personal Find A Way to the end track Your Name Is Jesus with the Straight Gate Mass Choir, and every track in between. Even the average tracks (And there are less on this disc than any of the others) still help this album flow smoothly from beginning to end. Not just good contemporary gospel, but good, enjoyable music, period. The blueprint for a contemporary gospel disc that only Kirk Frankin's Hero and Deitrick Haddon's Crossroads followed to a tee. |
