I dearly love this album. There were places that nearly brought tears to my eyes. Lucia said in an interview, "I play violin!" and that is a complete understatement. She is the instrument when she plays. I love it and her.

Best contempory violin recordings ever. Lucia is a master! Submitted on: 2009-09-02 |

Best contemporary violin recordings ever. Lucia Micarelli is a master! I first heard of her from a Chris Botti concert as she is touring with him. Her playing made me go look for this CD. Some may know how to play violin, but she knows how to express music through violin. I highly recomend this CD.

If you are looking for standard classical violin you will be disappointed. If not it is not a bad bunch of pieces.

This young lady is amazingly talented. And her choice of songs is superb. This is a great CD to relax to, meditate to and/or just for a calming effect when times are hectic.

If you are looking for great classical style violin playing, try Gilles Apap or Regina Carter's Paganini: After a Dream. Needless to say, Joshua Bell has some fine approachable cds also. This cd was not worth the price. Micarelli is technically okay, but this cd is boring and her playing is nothing special.
