| I really enjoy this CD! It's happy music that I can listen to when I'm in the worst mood and it cheers me up. It's the type of upbeat music you can dance, exercise or just listen to while doing projects around the house. Really great and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys happy music! |

Well, I remember No Secrets from 'back in the day'. I couldn't tell you much more than that now but I use to like them quite a bit with never actually buying their CD. So on a recent trip down memory lane I stumbled upon Angel's Believe In Angels Believe In Me. I figured "why not?" and bought it. Um, why all the glowing reviews is all I have to say. This CD isn't that great. Sure she's got a nice enough voice but with all these dance beats overpowering her vocals it's hard to truly tell how good of a voice she's got. I despise dance music as it is so with this CD containing about 90% dance songs, I'm not at all privvy of listening to it more than I have to.
We've established that I hate dance music and that Angel's got at least a competent singing voice. The songs themselves aren't horrible, but what gets me is that every single song follows almost the exact same pattern. Verse/chorus/verse/chorus/bridge/chorus/chorus. There's no variation and it's completely aggrivating. However, the production is solid, so that's one plus.
Believe In Angels is the lead-off song, but not the last one in which the beat overpowers Angel herself. Wild Guess has lame verses but the chorus is noteworthy. Both catchy and strong. Once Upon Our Time goes down as the CDs best track. For those of us who are new to Angel, I'd describe this as a Kelly Clarkson type song, i.e., rock overtones yet still distinctly pop. Mama's Little Girl reaks of pre-teen pop. It's almost as if I were to walk through a big city's mall I'd see 12 year old girls singing it. Yeah, got the picture? Just The Way I Am is your typical "I'm me, deal with it" song. The verses are pretty good though. Three Small Words is another highlight. The bass heavy hip hop beat serves Angel's voice well here. To Forgive You deserves to have rounded out this CD. There's more of a downtrodden feel to it where you can ACTUALLY HEAR HER VOICE. Yeah yeah, I know, you hear it through the CD but here there's only a piano, some strings, and drums. No pulsating beats, nothing. So for that, this serves as the final highlight.
My favorite songs are Once Upon Our Time, Three Small Words, and To Forgive You. Angel has talent, yes, but until she takes more control over her music I don't think we'll ever hear anything astounding from her. The lyrics aren't that great, a lot of the beats sound used, and there's just not enough variety. I'm disappointed with this release, there's no two ways around it. I won't be giving this many more spins in the future, I won't have any sudden urges to listen to it. Believe In Angels Believe In Me follows what's popular, not what's good. |

| Angel's debut album did nothing but shock me. All the songs and lyrics are very meaningful and captivating. Angel has one of the most incredible voices I've ever heard either; definitely having a voice of an Angel. Me being a huge fan of No Secrets, I was definitely going to get this album no matter what. But the album was definitely better than expected. She does not lip sync, Angel Faith is her real name, and she IS a very good role model. Do not believe everything you hear. |

| Why, Angel, WHY!? She was great in No Secrets - all of No Secret's songs are positive and cheerful, but all of her new songs are just bad. They're really cliche, and they talk about stuff like girls who use boys and dumb stuff like that. Also, she has another album where she's wearing a jacket but no shirt, her hair looks awful, and her songs have a lot of bad stuff. I'd love her if she'd stuck with No Secrets, or at least they're cheerful style of music, but now, she's awful! Oh, No Secrets, where art thou? I mean, I loved No Secrets cause all they're songs were good and clean, but Angel by herself is not. |

I must say this c.d was great.I really loved all the songs.Yeah it was full of pop and cheesey,but hey it's for teens and kids.
Most songs are about love or growing up.Though no song was really about a breakup song expect "To forgive me".Yet unlike Jojo she really didn't say anything other forgive me.
If you like to have fun and dance around this is for one.It's not a waste of money and angel faith can REALLY sing! |
