 Unique in all its ways...

Saviour Machine has been my favorite band for a long time... And not without a good cause... The sound they set is unique, the emotions are extraodinary deep and the quality is great! Saviour Machine is probably described best as Gothic/Opera Rock...
This 3 cd box includes Saviour Machine's debute album I, it's successor II and the compilation disc Synopsis which contains songs from I, II, LEGEND PART I, LEGEND PART II, Behold a Pale Horse and Live in Deutschland '95...
Every album is filled with emotion... The first thing you'll notice is the unicity of Eric Clayton's voice... His bariton with prominent and deep vibrato gives an operatic feeling to ti all, comparative to Nightwish (be it manly and much doomier)... Many songs contain classical instrumentation next to the guitars like violins, pianos, cellos... In their later work there are huge orchestras and choirs as well...
The lyrics also are unique... Poetic, cryptic, but also very deep... They are straight from Eric Clayton's heart... Saviour Machine is one of few bands/musicians that can bring me to tears after multiple listens...

| The first song I have ever heard of this band was 'Carnival of Souls'. I was not a believer at the time. And this song and their first album changed the direction of my life. This band wrote great songs and played them right. Every song is moving and touching. I know that there's controversy surounding this band and songs, including 'Legion' which was responsible for the debut album being banned from Christian music store throughout the USA. But, I can tell you this band is not Amy Grant or Michael W. Smith. These guys are not afraid of slapping satan on its face. Listen to their songs, you will see what I mean hear. This CD set will be great for the newbies on Saviour Machine's music. First 2 albums plus a bonus disc (Synopsis) at an affordable price. This is a great deal. |

| "I/II/Synopsis " is a wonderful example of what Saviour Machine is. Not only does it have the first and the second album that SM put out, but also Synopsis, which envelopes most of SM's career; displaying some of the most wonderful Goth Metal you will ever hear. |
