| "Let them be little" is a perfect song to use for young children graduation day. I am preaschool teacher and this song helped me to end the ceremony in very emotinal and meaningful way. |

EXCELLENT Submitted on: 2005-08-09 |

| One of his best CD's. Has a couple of his old tracks in there at the end too. Every song is a winner. I wish he was having a concert near where I live. I DEFINITELY recommend this CD. If you like Billy Dean you will absolutely OVE this CD. If you like country music you will LOVE this CD. I bought it, put it on my computer, and let my mom have the CD for her car, and now she won't give it back. It's that good. Billy Dean is back and better than ever. |

His Best In a LONG Time Submitted on: 2005-07-30 |
|
| To keep my review short, I will only say that if you are a Billy Dean fan, this is, in my opinion, his best album since "Young Man", which was done a LONG time ago. And that includes "Men'll Be Boys", which I thought was a very good recording. I did not think this new CD was ever going to come out, despite the fact that he had recently had two new major hit singles ("Thank God I'm a Country Boy" and "Let Them Be Little"). I was also pleasantly surprised to listen to the two "new" bonus tracks. "Somewhere In My Broken Heart" has always been my all time favorite Billy Dean song. In fact, I wish they would release this version of it as a single all over again. And, "Billy The Kid" shows that his voice is as strong today as it was 15 years ago, although, I would have rather he had re-recorded "Only The Wind" instead. It has been way, WAY too long since B.D. released an album. Hopefully, this will reflect a comeback for him (as it should) instead of a farewell. Oops. I guess this review wasn't so short after all. |

What a Gift! Submitted on: 2005-04-12 |

You know, years ago my late father told me that 'boys don't become men until after they turn 40.' Well, listening to the tracks of the new album, I must say I understand now Dad! There is a wonderful new depth, strength, passion, experience and maturity to Billy Dean's voice, his song selection and the entire arc of this album.
It is simply wonderful - and oh so encouraging - that there are people out there in this world, who continue working and growing at their craft/skill. That reaching a certain level of success does not breed complacency. That passing the age of 40 shouldn't mean the end of anything - rather it is just the beginning of a great age!
Billy Dean is such a great example of that to us, and to his children. He may have left the public arena for a few years with his musical gifts to focus on his children (and what a great decision that was!), but this album shows that he didn't let the music leave him nor did he allow it to flounder. Instead he kept working and practicing, honing his incredible gift and talents, until today he graciously offers us this new and glorious present.
Thank you Mr. Dean for proving that we do get better with age, that 'dropping off' the radar for a while can be a wonderful thing in so many ways, and for once again sharing your incredible talent and voice with all of us.

Welcome Back, Billy Dean!! Submitted on: 2005-04-08 |

It has been 7 years since there's been a new collection of music from this very talented, yet underrated artist. I can tell you that the wait was worth it. This collection of songs stands up to the best albums in the business, including Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, and Gratchen Wilson. As a matter of fact, I think this album is better than anyone else's right now.
His experience in love and as a father to his two kids runs deep in this album. The raw emotion and lyrics really shine through. Every song on this album is amazing!! I also like the fact that he wrote or co-wrote all but one of the songs on this album! This album is a must-have for any country music fan! You won't be disappointed. Welcome back, Billy Dean!!!! |
