A Perfect Performance Submitted on: 2008-02-24 |

| Although this entire recording is terrific, Jane Monheit's interpretation and performance of 'Waters of March' is one of my favorite recordings. This is a performance that can only come about because she believes the words --- and it has to come from her soul. She hits every note, her timing is perfect and the inflection for each word makes this song come alive. If Antonio Carlos Jobim were alive to hear her performance of his song, I am sure he would say, "yeah...that is what I meant". |

Monheit's 'Very Best' is 'Very Good." Submitted on: 2008-01-25 |

| Jane Monheit is very young and it seems a little soon to be issuing a CD titled "The Very Best of Jane Monheit." Still, this is 'very good' stuff. A great voice. Great music. A great young jazz singer. I can hardly wait to get more of her music. |

It's not her best, but it's still great. Submitted on: 2007-10-17 |

| This is the purest and truest soprano voice since Joan Baez. I don't think it's the 'very best' of Jane's work, the new CD 'Surrender' is my favorite, but there's no doubt she's going to be at the top of her profession very soon. I just hope she stays with Jazz. |

How lovely Submitted on: 2007-06-02 |

| I recently discovered Jane Monheit in a quest to find the perfect versions of Cole Porter songs and I have since become an avid fan. Her velvety voice, clear diction and mellow interpretations of songs we've all heard makes them new, and yet, comforting. Jane Monheit delivers songs in the spirit of which they were written: cool, comfortable, lovely, inspiring and slightly groovy. If you can only hear one song of Monheit's, don't miss Too Late Now from Taking A Chance On Love. Put it on, close your eyes, and feel the euphoria of a beautiful song wash over you. |

Simply beautiful music Submitted on: 2006-08-06 |

| She has a beautiful, crystal clear voice that is almost haunting. I don't have much experience with Jane Monheit so I can't compare this to her other work, but this CD is one of my favorites in my collection. I also recommend "The Season," which is Jane's CD of Christmas music - another of my favorites. |
