Dwele is some kinda...all that! Submitted on: 2009-10-01 |

| This is the first cd of Dwele's that I'd ever purchased. From start to finish, I thought that this cd was a smooth, mellow ride. I love the sound of his voice and his phraseology. |

| I absolutely LOVE this cd, it will be one of my favorites. Anyone who can appreciate music and individual artistry will enjoy this. This is my first Dwele cd and I look forward to getting the rest. Great voice, music arrangement, and humor....LOL at 'flapjacks'! Its an album you have to listen to for the lyrics and not just the beat. I listened to it all the way through. I loved all the songs, but 'some kinda' is my fav! Hope you enjoy it too. |

Hands Down Favorite! Submitted on: 2008-12-28 |

| Jazz, Funk, R&B, Hip-Hop, Vocals all culminate on this sophomore cd from Detroit artist Dwele. He takes the best element of all these different genres and fuses them together on a project that would make even the pickiest of listeners smile with musical delight. I would name a list of the best tracks on this cd if it was as so simple. The whole project is full of music that will resonate in your mind all day and have u bopping your head with no music present. Get the CD! Get the CD! |

Dwele some kinda... too slow Submitted on: 2008-09-23 |

| Dwele is very talented. He had a great debut, blessing us with his soothing voice (think of Marvin Gaye, Musiq Soulchild) over mostly midtempo tracks. The problem with "some kinda..." is definately the PRODUCTION. Dwele shouldn't do so much producing and concentrate on singing. Check out "Know Your Name" (produced by G-1), "I Think I Love You" (produced by Mike City) and "Keep On" (produced by the late, great Jay Dilla) which are the only stand-out tracks on this CD. With the exception of "Weekend Love" all of Dwele's production kinda sounds repetitive and boring. I've heard a few songs off of Dwele's new CD, and I think he moved it up a notch! But just imagine Dwele's soothing voice over midtempo beats by Raphael Saadiq, Kanye West or Ali Shaheed Muhammad. Now that would be some kinda... COOL! |

| EXTREMELY well done album! An instant neo-soul classic. I've played this CD so many times the CD scratched... so I bought it again as MP3's! Simply amazing music. |
