| ...For any fan of "The Band." Amazing release from Mr. Hudson - everything I expected from this amazing organist/keyboardist/musician/songwriter, plus way more. The music that develops on this CD is a Hudson masterpiece - beautiful, experimental, ephemeral, stunningly amazing. A true joy to listen to. A must have for any fan! |

| Ah... "Poetic Invocation" may just have the power to heal! There's Moses speaking the words channeled by Ray Bradbury, set to the genius of Garth Hudson's tapestry of musical magic. Garth is the best in the world at what he does. If you've noticed his contributions to Bob Dylan's music, The Band's, and sound tracks to films like "The Right Stuff," then, you will want to hear this track. Ten minutes and Charlton Heston, Garth and Ray will transport you into another dimension. And I'm not prejudiced, even though Garth chased me around my house with a microphone as I ran with one of my racing pigeons flapping its wings to provide the sound of angels wings. This CD is definitely something special to own. |
