| DJ Screw was a inovator and a Legend. Everyone knows this. The man loved his art and dedicated his life to it. His dedication and work ethic ultimately led to his death. ~It was not an overdose!-Shout out to the editor staff for that mis-representation (check the facts)~ Buy screws' music because of what it stood for. He paved the way for the folks that were down for him and rode for him. Down South Forever ~ We're already here. |

Don't listen to above reviewer Submitted on: 2006-04-04 |

This is indeed a Screw compilation. Robert Davis was involved in the majority of these tracks (except for a few tribute songs made by the offical Screwed Up Click and other Houston vets.) All of these tracks feature the core S.U.C. veterens (Grace, Pokey, Keke, Hawk, Fat Pat, Al-D, 3-2, Enjoli, Moe, Mike Diggity, Botany Boys) as well as other members later added to the camp like Flip.
The former reviewer may be confused becuase these are the regular speed versions of many of the S.U.C.'s classics. "Pimpin Pens" "CDs and LPs" "Southside" "No Way Out" "Bounce and Turn" "Leather and Wood".... these are all 'Screw' tracks - either with him on the boards or tracks he broke on grey tapes.
Personally, I'd seek out the Grey Tape versions - as the slowed versions are often better, and Screw would chop the tracks and scratch over them.
Still, to say these aren't Screw tracks is just wrong.
Screw Love,

Great, but not DJ Screw Submitted on: 2006-02-16 |

| Don't be confused by the title of this album. It is a tribute to DJ Screw by other artists. It's definitely a great album, but it doesn't have any DJ Screw songs on it. I would still buy it if I were you though. Most of the songs are "rollin' songs" (kind of slow rap). |
