The best way I can equate Poison in the grand scheme of rock n' roll is such. Motley Crue would be Budwiser, while Poison would be Coors light. You only drink it when you have to. But after a few drinks it tastes just as good as a good Bud.
This best of really covers what needs to be covered. 'Talk Dirty To Me' 'Cry Tough' and the fantastic almost street cred worthy 'Look What The Cat Dragged In' represent the glam movement better than anything else in rock history. 'Nothin' But A Good Time' is timeless, and 'Every Rose Has It's Thorn' is cheesy yet at times enjoyable. 'Unskinny Bop' (or a baseball players slump buster) and 'Ride The Wind' are classics in my book. 'Something To Believe In' is overproduced but I love it.
The groups covers of 'We're An American Band' 'Rock N' Roll All Night' and 'Your Mama Don't Dance' are all way better than the originals.

 Still Rocks

Poison still rocks like they did in the 80's and here is one way to remember it.
This CD has most of their classic songs and best of all it's well recorded with
minor exceptions. Some songs lack some bass but it's due to the analog recording
that was done years ago. Other songs are truely rich digital sound and plenty of bass.
Either way, this CD is sure to please and is at a great price. |

| Man I miss that great 80's party rock! I saw them live while touring to promote the 20 year anniversary in Houston with Cinderella, and it was awesome! I still think it that it all holds up pretty well, and very little sounds dated. I must confess, that I still have no idea what "Unskinny Bop" is supposed to be refering to...but I don't care, because it rocks anyway. |

| Has the classic songs from the 80's. After CC left for awhile those songs and albums were horrible. This is a good compilation if you like the original songs that made the band popular in the 80's. |

| I bought this album a couple days ago after putting it aside for weeks. I finally bought it because "Rock of Love" is an awesome reality show and really proved that Bret Michaels is a cool womanizer and musician. I was so blown away by this album! They all love playing their instruments and really know how to write killer riffs and satanic lyrics! Move over Slayer, these are the true metal legends. |
