Great Music but Damn! Submitted on: 2008-09-22 |

| The songs are all covered beautifully, but, as the previous review stated, the crickets are damn annoyig. I would love it if Tara MacLean would release this without the "nature sounds". |

Beautiful versions of classic songs Submitted on: 2008-01-12 |

| I'm a big fan of Tara MacLean's. I think she's a great song writer and has a lovely voice. So, even though these are all covers, I really enjoyed this album. One reviewer mentioned finding the cricket (etc.) noises annoying. Personally I could have lived without them, but I don't mind them at all. My favorite track is Tara's version of Sound of Silence. I've always loved that song and it's great to hear it in a female voice. |

I purchased this CD at a yard sale for $1. What a gem it is!!
I love it. I've been playing it over and over again. Tara and Amy have such beautiful voices. My favorite's are "Leaving On A Jet Plane." Tara's version is so beautiful. So, is her verison of "Don't Give Up." I love the background sounds of crickets and the crackling fire (amoungst others). It makes it feel like you're sitting around a bon-fire/campfire.
I was looking into the other "Solitudes" CD's and see they don't have songs on the others, just music. What a shame. This CD is probably one of the best "relaxation-type" CD's I ever purchased.
Though, I only paid $1 for it, I would definitely pay regular price as a gift to someone else. |

Good singers, but get rid of the #$@#@! crickets Submitted on: 2007-05-15 |

| I've liked Tara Maclean's singing in other albums, and the other singers were good as well, but whoever produced this album put (I think fake - it's too regular) cricket noises in several songs for 'atmosphere'(?) and it interferes with immersing yourself in the music. |
