Customer Reviews of This Album/CD

Shame he left aftermath
Submitted on: 2009-05-02
this aint busta rhymes best album but this has a lot of great songs and production from the great Dr.Dre. I don't know why Busta Left Aftermath he says its because the album didnt sell well. I know it didn't sell 10 million copies but it didn't flop. Lets hope B.O.M.B. is worth the wait
very impressive

In the past I only liked certain songs from Busta, but this is a complete album and you can tell that they worked hard on this one.
The songs with Raekwon, Nas and Q-tip are probably the standouts on the album but the singles were very good too.
One of the last real rappers left...

Busta Rhymes is one of the only rappers from the 90s, who is still making relevant music which is still hitting the charts.

The production on here is great. It's more modern than his past albums, but not in a sell-out kind of way. It still hits heavy and matches Busta energy.

Busta himself sounds older, but he still has his signature low, growling voice. You will find his typical mix of frantic, fast rapping and his zany growls and grunts on here.

It's honestly refreshing to see an artist who I've been following since the 90s stay true to good music. It's a rare thing these days.
The Most Slept On Album In 2007....

In terms of classic albums, Busta came back with a 5-Mic classic!!!! This is his best album BAR NONE!!!! Production? Dr Dre is at the helm...so how could the production NOT be hot?? It's genetically impossible!! Busta Rhymes is in Leaders of the New School mode (well, almost)....you can literally hear a different vibe in him as he's rhyming. Its fun to him again, and you can hear it in his lyrics and his presentation. His two previous albums were laborious and lifeless. I had no intention of even getting this album BASED on his two previous showings...quite frankly, I thought he lost it. But then I heard "Touch It"....WHOA!!! I thought, well anybody can get lucky (even his last two had at least ONE joint worth listening to). Then I heard "New York $hit" and I was blown away!!! I waited some more until I could hear samples online, so I could be sure I wasn't getting excited for nothing. I was not buggin. The album opens with a BANGER!!!! "Get You Some"....OMFG!!!! If you have a car with a nice system, you need to put this joint in and BLAST IT IGNORANTLY AT 2 IN THE MORNING!!!!! Loud & wrong!! Further down, you got "Been Through The Storm" with the legendary Stevie Wonder on the hook!!!!! Are you kidding me??? This song SHOULD have been a single!!!! Most of you have heard "In The Ghetto" with the late, great Rick James (I'm Rick James Bitc#!!) on the hook!! Then, when you're able to pick yourself up off the ground from your heart attack after hearing Stevie AND Rick back to back, he hits you in the head again with "Cocaina". The beat makes you wanna smack Kanye West for calling himself a producer....lol Seriously though, the beat is banging! And mind you, all throughout, Busta is KILLING IT lyrically!!! I'm not going to go song for song, otherwise this would turn into a doctoral disertation... but I'll say it again, this is the best work of his career!!! I have EVERY Busta Rhymes album, including the two with L.O.N.S., and no prior album equals this one in production and overall quality. I can't believe how poorly this thing sold....people may have become disenchanted (as I did) due to his previous efforts. But trust me, you don't have to be a Busta Rhymes fan to enjoy this....if you're a Hip-Hop head, this album was made for your listening pleasure! Do yourself a favor, and don't sleep on this album any longer. It's a banger!!
who takes this serious
Submitted on: 2007-12-06
I respect busta as being a good rapper but here he takes himself too serious busta used to be funny as hell and outrageous now he's on steroids and possibly crack now he's telling everybody he's a gangbanger and claiming he sold dope in high school with biggie and jay z please we know busta's bisexual anyway still he tries to bring new york back making vkideos acknowkledging old school rap legends please qwe know hip hop started in ny. busta save your checks this is your last stand we barely see him pop up on remixes these days.
