This Lady Should Be Famous! Submitted on: 2009-05-01 |

This album has been out for 3 years, and yet there are only a dozen or so reviews on Amazon? Joanna Pacitti should be all over the radio! She is just as good, if not better, than most of the female pop "artists" clogging up mainstream radio.
My favorite tracks: "Ultraviolet", "Screaming Infidelities" (a cover of a Dashboard Confessionals song) and "Broken". Most of the songs on this album rock and it's worth checking it out in it's entirety.
Poor Joanna. I hope one day you get the attention you deserve. |

TOTAL CRAP, but Joanna is likable...too bad about AI8 tho... Submitted on: 2009-02-13 |

Only two stars because this album is awful beyond belief. The production is really overdone...it did Ms Pacitti no favours whatsoever...the songs are completely generic goop...even her Dashboard Confessional cover is made to sound like bad lite radio pap with zero personality. The songs are not memorable at all and none really stand out, except for maybe the piano ballad "4th Of July" where she does something quirky with her voice on the chorus, like Fiona Apple-lite.
The ironic thing is, in spite of the album's awful generic blandness (and this is why the album gets 2 stars, not 1), Joanna's downright likeable and you land up rooting for her. Even tho the album landed in my top 10 worst albums of 2006, I still support her and hope she gets in a better, more creative recording situation. Now, she tried for American Idol Season 8, and even made the Top 36...BUT she was just disqualified because of inside connections with the 19 people and judge/songwriter Kara DioGuardi. It's ironic...usually, to get ahead, to get your foot in the front door, you have to know the right people...in Joanna's situation, it got her disqualified from AI8...
I wonder how long it will be before she quits the music business because that might be the final blow to her musical dreams...I hope not, but most people would give up with that happening...again, hope not. If ever I'm in Philly, I'll try to look her up. |

| Great cd. I want to buy it sooooo bad. She just auditioned for American Idol. If she makes it far I'm sure there will be a controvery and they might even take it off of amazon like they did with David Cook's cd. |

Great voice, great cd, want to see whats next Submitted on: 2008-08-04 |

I love this cd. Her voice is powerful and entertaining!
Although I want to see more, most of the songs are remakes of other artists. I hope she has the chance to record again, because I understand this cd didn't do that well mainstream. |

Pure Greatness Submitted on: 2007-10-03 |

I have no idea who Joanna is or where she comes from but, I do know that this CD is stellar!
She has a great voice with a big range, very melodic songs with catchy hooks with great music. Her sound reminds me a bit of Kelly Clarkson with the pop/rock formula. Her voice and the music together command you and draw you in with every note and chorus.
This CD is a must have for everyone! It's a great addition to anyone's collection!
