| It's amazing how a single member of a group can make all the difference in the world. The power and the melodies that rang through the first two Falconer releases return in Northwind. Mathias Blad's voice is indeed center stage but is often rivaled by the incredible guitar work of this one of a kind band. I also recommend Falconer fans to visit Blad's website. Just look at some of the roles he has portrayed in theater and you'll gain more appreciation for why he is light years ahead of so many metal "singers". Truly, a great CD. |

| This has to be their strongest album to date. They have really matured in their songwriting, singing and playing. I can't pick a bad song on this cd. Mathias' voice is just one of those that you can just listen to all the time and never get sick of it. Usually this is a concept band, they broke free of that with this one. If you haven't been a fan of their other cd's, I recommend that you get this one and give it a listen. There is no story, just straight folk poetry made into power metal. I'll be listening to this one for a while. |
