ELP? Submitted on: 2008-04-26 |

| ELP was a good band. These people are trying to cash in on the name. If they keep making albums they need to get their own name. |

This is NOT radio rap! Submitted on: 2008-04-20 |

| If you're looking for radio glitzy, run of the mill, pop-hop, then this is NOT a selection you want to make! El-P's beats are innovative, yet tried and true, through years of practice on similar themed albums. Lyrically, he may not be the greatest MC, but his effort and his context and subject matter, more than make up for his straight to the point, conversational style. |

El-P not for everbody Submitted on: 2008-04-01 |

| When I bought this cd I didn't like it, but I kept it, saved it on my computer, a few months ago I broke my leg, got some pain killers and then found this cd on my computer and fell into this cd listening to it non stop, I stopped taking the pills and I still love this cd, It's a mindf*ck trip that supposed hip hop die hards( aka recent reviewers), won't like because they can't handle the beats, lyrics and the space trip that this cd takes you on, If you like earth and like being safe, don't buy this cd, but if you ever wonder what space is like, this is your Music |

Are We Listening To The Same Album? Submitted on: 2008-01-07 |

A lot of the other reviewers on here write about El-P like he is some kind of hip hop messiah... he definitely is not. I gave this album a shot because I have been a true fan of hip hop for twenty years and everybody on here gives this album great reviews. After giving this a try, I have realized that this CD is all hype and no substance.
After listening to this album several times, a few things about El-P became abundantly clear. First of all, his production skills are hit and miss (to put it lightly). Actually, some of his beats are trash, while others are very good. Any album that has more that three songs with crummy production does not get more than three stars in my book. Also, his voice is terrible. Anybody who argues that point is delusional.
Those of you who want to listen to some solid new hip hop... go buy 9th Wonder's "Vol. 2-Dream Merchant," or even the new Ghostface cd.
