Yay Tiffany! Submitted on: 2009-10-01 |

| I'm not what you'd call a "hardcore" Tiffany fan but, this cd has all her greatest hits that I know on it plus a bunch more. I bought this brand new/sealed for $.99 + shipping. I'm enjoying it very much and you just can't beat the price! The alternate sellers are definately a good way to go if you're unsure about a purchase because you can get the product for fairly cheap and I've never encountered a problem. I really like the review that starts out "This is a sick joke!" just because it made me laugh. It's a good quality cd. Maybe it's not Tiffany at her most artistic but, I still think it's a fun one for any fan. |

This was a Sick, Twisted Joke Submitted on: 2007-09-13 |

Whats even worse than this actual CD, is the knowledge that Tiffany actually greenlighted this trainwreck of a project. What was she on? I mean, if an artist has a say in the material released under their name, then shouldn't the material be stellar, or at least passable? And whats up with the morbid cover art, which looks like one of those Hallmark Halloween mistakes from 1980?
Heres the thing - NONE of Tiffany's best songs are here. Her biggest hit, "I Think We're Alone Now" is obviously here, but that has never been her best song, really. Thank God they at least had the decency to include "Could've Been" - this is still an amazing song twenty years later! However, dear reader, things go downhill from there very quickly. Whats even more befuddling is that most of these songs are 'new' recordings - Tiffany herself said so - and the choice of material is VERY bewildering. Can someone please explain to me what is going on?
Lets start with "Venus". The problems are endless. At least this was a fine track to begin with, and has a pretty good chorus. The same cannot be said of "Panic (Hang the DJ)", which is as bad as some of Tiffany's '80s disasters such as "Mr. Mambo". The rest of the album consists of ill-advised cover versions (do we really need another version of Chers' "The Beat Goes On"?), and Tiffanys' own uninspired original cover from her debut album - "I Saw him Standing there" by The Beatles. No, Tiffany, this just won't do. Her version of Blondie's "Call Me" is a little better, but thats like saying the imitation crab meat at a $2.95 buffet is almost as nice as the crap you bought at Walmart earlier that week. Yuck.
Heres the thing - I'm a huge Tiffany supporter since I was nine years old in 1987, but this album will test even the most loyal of fans. Simply put, it is an abomination and does nothing to showcase Tiffany's beautiful voice. On the contrary, this album is like one of those last minute compilation CDs that were probably made for Mel & Kim, Karyn White, and other Stock Aitken Waterman rejects of the late 1980s. Tiffany deserves MUCH MORE than this.
Sadly, this release coincides with the release of her 2007 album "Just Me", which showcases Tiff's voice quite nicely. Still interested in this product? Well, try downloading her cover of "Call Me" off the Net, if you must, but do yourself a favor and avoid the rest of this album like the plague. The word that comes to mind is 'worthless'.

ALL TIFFANY FANS BUY THIS CD!! Submitted on: 2007-06-05 |

| This is the first Amazon review that I have written. I felt compelled to do so after reading the other "not so favorable" review. Tiffany's vocals are great. Sometimes the instrumentation or production quality is not the best, but ultimately this a great cd for any Tiffany fan to add to their collection. My favs are the new versions of "I Think We're Alone Now", and "Could've Been". Also, Tiffany does a great job of covering the following tracks: "Voices Carry" and "Forever Young". And I am a big fan the originals by Til Tuesday and Alphaville. In addition, I am not a big fan of Cher's, yet Tiffany's version of "The Beat Goes On" is funky and fun. The Shania Twain (not a fan of hers either) cover of "You've Got A Way", which closes the cd, is breathtaking and touching. So give Tiffany a chance. While you are at it go purchase her new cd "Just Me" released today June 5th, 2007! |
