Joshua Bell IS Essential Submitted on: 2009-08-04 |

| Joshua Bell is not only "Atlas Maidenswoon"but a superb violinist. He brings out all the richest sounds the violin is capable of,without any of its sometimes ugly screeches! He has won me over to the violin, which I must admit was my least favorite instrument.Even in rush hour,I can't understand why people in the train station didn't pause to listen.Yes,he DID play in a train station. From Classical to Gershwin,he'll get you hooked too! |

Beautiful Submitted on: 2009-03-05 |

I like violin and classical music, but tend to get a bit bored after a couple of songs. Not with Joshua Bell. As soon as I started this CD I started grinning like an idiot; the music has made me want to cry and laugh in a different way than any other CD has. It is beautiful and sweet, without being sappy, and hot and fast without being unrecognizable.
To boil it down: This dude can play like nuttin' I've ever heard, and it's well worth the money; even if you don't generally like violin or classical music. |

Something for everyone Submitted on: 2009-02-18 |

| Whether Chopin, Beethoven, Gershwin, or Bernstein is your composer of choice, you will find something here to please you. If you want a taste of many kinds of violin music, this is also your dual cd. Interesting variety, compelling style, gifted musicianship - these make this a five-star album. The cute picture of Joshua Bell on the cover doesn't hurt! |

Love this Submitted on: 2008-10-12 |

| I keep this CD in my van at all times. It definately is not a typical violin cd. There is a variety of different types of music on this one. IT is very, very good. I really enjoy Joshua Bell's music. |

| Last December I saw him playing with the New York Philarmonic, and that has been one of my most unforgettable experience of my life. I have all his records and this is one of my favorites. |
