Great tunes, but don't pay over $15 Submitted on: 2009-10-27 |

| You can get this CD from Buckehead's own website, "tdrsmusic" for fifteen bucks. I might pay a couple extra bucks for the convenience of Amazon, but not double the price. |

Crime he is not better known Submitted on: 2009-05-08 |

| This is one of my favorite Buckethead cd's. This man can play. If you are a fan of great guitar players, check this out. Not sure who I could compare his style to...maybe Jeff Beck? In any case, this is good stuff...check it out. |

An excellent Buckethead CD Submitted on: 2009-03-19 |

| I had to pay a premium for this disc as its out of print but I really wanted to own the song "Soothsayer (dedicated to Aunt Suzie)". I also really like the first song, "King James". Those are my two favorite songs on the CD but the other tracks are also pretty good. |

No crime here Submitted on: 2008-06-10 |

| Crime Slunk Scene has got to be one of Bucket's finest, depending on your personal tastes. If you really liked Electric Tears or Colma and are expecting some more of that, don't go here. This is Bucket at his slunkiest, with bizarre (how did he think of that?) yet genius compositions. The first 6-7 songs are over the top and belong on his all time best list. If you are a fan of guitar shredding, grungefunkification, out (way out) of the mainstream, then you will love this album! (After this I would recommend "Monsters and Robots".) |

A More Accessible Buckethead For Your Perusal Submitted on: 2008-04-11 |
|
Buckethead has released some very bizarre and avant-garde music ("Kaleidoscalp" and "The Cuckoo Clocks Of Hell") as well as melodic, sublime and relaxing material "Colma" and "Electric Tears")-but of course most know him as the freaky guitarist with the mask and chicken bucket on his head. His funky personality notwithstanding, Buckethead is a phenomenal player and creative talent.
This release is interesting because it is a good mix of melodicism and accessibility that most people would like as soon as they hear it, as well as some bizarre shred-fests which will appeal to Bhead fans. A good album, which comes across as sounding like "Monsters And Robots" meets "Colma" at times. It's not full of a lot of the annoying and distracting goofy voice-overs of "Bucketheadland 2" or some of his other, more wacky material. Many of the more melodic, "catchy" songs are placed up front on the release, as if to ease you into his lengthier, more complex and avant-garde material towards the last half of the album. Recommended! |
