Here I Am is your best bet Submitted on: 2008-08-21 |

If you remove the repeated songs on this disc pinched from "Here I Am" you are left with some really flat and uninteresting songwriting. Highly predictable, lyrically trite and frankly, a bit dated in a metal-chick mode.
The definite promise Raven showed in "Here I Am" is completely absent, and I fear another talent is lost to whatever happens when commerce triumphs over muse. |

I Second That: She's Amazing, and is Definitely NOT a Flake... Submitted on: 2007-09-25 |

I'm more of a metal head too; RATT and Obituary are my favorite bands. But when I heard m2m for the first time during the teen band craze, they were the real standouts. I can't believe the longevity of my enjoyment, which is part respect for wonderful music, but equally for the intelligence in the lyrics. I probably listen to Marion and Merit more than anyone else.
More important is the kind of role models they are. It's hard enough to provide sound guidance for kids in a time when parents aren't cool, so I've bought all their CD's for my niece and I'm now buying them for my daughter. They love it, and if I can contribute to their becoming empowered, independent and confident young women, I'm thrilled. |

| I"ll be honest.First off I'm what you would call a metal head.Motley Crue, Kiss, Dio, Black Sabbath and so on. I originally bought this because of Nikki Sixx (Motley Crue) working with her and saying she had what it takes. What a surprise! This girl has got some pipes. After hearing this cd I bought her other two. Laugh if you want to but I appreciate talent and man has she got it. Check out her duet with Meat Loaf on his last Bat Out Of Hell cd. It's a shame she most likely will not be as famous as the Britneys of the world but she should be.Now only if her and Ronnie James Dio could do a duet....well I can dream. |
