Marcus Intalex Fabriclive Review Submitted on: 2008-12-30 |
|
| If you thought Marcus Intalex had skill as a producer, wait until you hear his skills behind the turn tables. WOW! This man sure knows how to keep an AIRTIGHT mix going for minutes at a time, I was amazed by his mixing ability, seamless and smooth! Style wise you will notice elements of jazz, reggae, amen laden jungle, and lots of progressive "tech" sounds. The first 4 tunes kind of bridge you to the real "meat" of this mix which is every track following the first three. The track selection is top notch. This mix may take a few listens to "click", though when it does it is sure to please. Highly recommended! |

Good Mix Submitted on: 2008-04-03 |
|
| This is a great album, good track selection and good mixing. Plenty of nice deep grooves and some funkier stuff too. The album loses a little steam towards the middle, but finishes up strong. Its definitely worth a listen, even if you aren't usually a drum and bass fan. |

More than just your average Drum N Bass Submitted on: 2008-02-19 |
|
| Drum n Bass has to be one of my least favorite electronic genres, but even I was caught off guard by the groovy, soulful, and melodic sounds behind these tracks. Lots of heavy bass entwined with catchy snyths. I hear Marcus receives flack from the rest of the DnB world for playing this style of Drum n Bass, but from my perspective, this is the best sounding stuff the genre has to offer. Definitely give this one a try. |

The samples that Amazon allows you to listen to are not the same songs that appear on the album! I bought this CD cause it sounded like it had some great soul cuts on it...just the opposite. Do not buy this album if you are looking for soul music.
Thanks for nothing. |
