Customer Reviews of This Album/CD

Beautiful music
Submitted on: 2009-10-25
I love melodic progressive trance, with and w/o vocals. Examples, for a reference point: Tiesto's remix of Delerium's Silence, Armin van Buuren's Communication, Oceanlab's Satellite, First State's Reach Me and Your Own Way, PPK's ResuRection, Above & Beyond's Razorfish and Home, Active Sight's The Search for Freedom, Tiesto's remix of Balearic Bill's Destination Sunshine, DJ Eremit's Tanz Der Seele, and so on and so on...

So if you do, too, I think you'll like this album.

Of the 29 tracks on these 2 CDs, here's how I've rated them ("10.0" being best):

9 tracks got a rating of 10.0;
4 tracks got a rating of 9.5;
2 tracks got a rating of 9.0;
2 tracks got a rating of 8.5;
7 tracks got a rating of 8.0.

A "10.0" means I pretty much can't get enough of it, for days and weeks and months on end. On this compilation, these are:
...Sunlight (by Breakfast), track # 6 on CD1
...Zero (by Simon & Shaker), track # 2 on CD2
...The Truth (David West Remix) (by Headstrong), track #3 on CD2
...Angelicus (Andy Moor Remix) (by Delerium Feat. Isabel Bayrakdarian), track # 4 on CD2
...Ordinary Moment (Breakfast Mix) (by Filo & Peri Feat. Fisher), track #5 on CD2
...Good For Me (Club Mix) (by Above & Beyond), track #10 on CD2
...Newlife (Mike Koglin 2007 Remix) (by The Thrillseekers), track #11 on CD2
...Lift (by Sean Tyas), track #12 on CD2
...Super Nature (by Stone & Terminal), track #14 on CD2

I won't list the rest. Suffice it to say, anything "8.0" and above is good enough for me to have the CD residing indefinitely in my car player.

So you get the idea.

Get it and enjoy the beautiful music!
Great Mix

Like one other review mentioned, it's a great car CD to listen to. The second CD is not bad but I prefer the first CD. Overall great choice to buy.
Night Music Vol 2 - A Big Thumbs Up!
Submitted on: 2009-07-04
The Nightmusic Vol 2 is another great sounding cd. I give this cd a big thumbs up for its music content, and listen ability. It is kind of funny, but my preference of cd's from this series are as follows: Vol 3, Vol 2, and then Vol 1. Either way you slice it, you won't be disappointed. Trance music that is well produced for a perfect night of chill!

To summarize:

Volume one is what I would call the standard for which all others should try to exceed.
Volume two is definitely more vocal of the series.
Volume three is more complex in the music content.

Enjoy.

Super tracks. Blends seamlessly from one artist to another for a high energy hour plus session of great techno and trance music. Double set of CD's is well worth the price and a super enyoyable listen. Highly recommend this group.
a night to remember

It has been a long time since anything new has really caught my ear in techno.... since Hybrid, Deepsky, Way out West and Armin, there just hasn't been that much out there. However, there are two fairly new series out there that are worth keeping up with. Those two series are, of course, "AnjunaBeats" by Above & Beyond, and "NightMusic" by the ThrillSeekers. I enjoyed Vol. 1 of NightMusic very much, but I must say Vol. 2 blows it away. Most importantly, it has a lot of replay value... It doesn't get tiring quickly like a lot of electronica does. I listened to each disc in the set 2 or 3 times in a row, two nights in row. It is hi-tech enough to hold its own with the latest technology, but has enough depth and melody to keep it from relying on pure fancy hocus-pocus to make it stand out. The songs are memorable and likable (which means there is an occasional vocal track) but not excessively trendy... this CD is easily digestible but it still has an edge to it that fans of Deepsky and Hybrid will appreciate. Unlike Hybrid, there are not a lot of strings, but like Crystal Method there is a substantial amount of high-energy synths and accelerating progressions. However, it is less urban and more trance than Crystal Method or anything of that sort. I can tell this guy has been influenced by the Anjunabeats series, cause I recognize a couple of tracks here from that series... but don't worry, there's only a couple, so not a lot of repeats from other albums. This is a great album with a lot to offer and great replay value... trance that strays off the beaten path and redefines the times.
