 Britpop & punk done en espanol...INCREDIBLE!!!

OK, I won't go on too long, but these guys RULE!!! I've always been aware of these guys since their 2CD album on Warner Bros "Reyes" which I didn't get at the time. BUT, lately I've gotten into Latin Alternative, and I realized I don't have to understand the language because I don't focus on lyrics ANYWAY...to me, the music is more important...it just has to SOUND cool, and lyrics (as good as they are) are secondary...that's why I can get into music in any language.
Well, I heard that this recent album by the Tacubas was a good entry point and that it was pretty accessible...that and my tastes have evolved from 10 years ago, so I jumped into the pool, and man, am I glad I did...FANTASTIC stuff!!! This album, "SiNo" has a great Britpop sound, somewhere between New Order-ish new wave and Stone Roses jangle, with some Sex Pistols punk thrown into the mix, and even add some Flaming Lips-ish psychedelic excursions...woah...now only if some more US alternative and Britpop fans would jump into the Tacuba pool...they would TOTALLY appreciate these guys!!!
Now, I got the deluxe edition with the 5 videos on DVD...love it even more, espesh their Japanese adventure on "De Acuerdo", which sounds very Sex Pistols fun and the Japanese are way into it.
5 stars, 6 stars??? Try 20 stars...I also bought their 2005 live album "Un Viaje"...lemme jump into that pool right now!!! Wheeee!!! |

| I'm a big fan of Cafe Tacvba. Only one song really grabbed me on this CD, where in the past almost all the songs were amazing. |

| Is hard to tell if this CD is a better than the others, what I can tell you is that this CD is amazing, the sound is excelente, the mixes, the lyrics and the voices, from other plannet. |

This is a great band, they are musicians indeed. They prove it by caressing your ears with interesting sounds and making your mind fly away with strong lyrics.
Last album "Cuatro caminos" was a great one, and nobody knew what to expect as the *new* release.
If you like Café Tacuba, you MUST by this album NOW. If you're just looking around, you MUST give them a try with this album.
