Customer Reviews of This Album/CD

Another great Australian rock band
Submitted on: 2009-11-11
Airbourne is a throwback to an old school era of hard rock music. Simple guitar riffs, a rough-voiced screamer as a singer and lyrics that have the depth of a rain puddle. This is fast paced, smack you in the head guitar rock; a cross between AC/DC and Rose Tattoo. Runnin' Wild is a blistering CD of songs that never lets up from start to finish with nice guitar work and great energy. No, Airbourne aren't breaking any new ground and they wear their influences like orange prison jumpsuits, but they put it together into great, tight songs.
Best debut album since Van Halen's first

If you like hard rock, you'll like this.

If you do not like hard rock, this isn't for you.

Why don't you dig your teeth into The Answer or The White Stripes?

I know, I know, majority of you have been looking for a good classic rock bands. But, this is nothing compared to the other material that has been produced by other classic rock bands, that just arrived on the horizon. This is certainly a good band, yet this band is nothing compared to the other bands such as The White Stripes, The Dead Weather, and The Answer. They are talented, but their music is a bit too simple. The lyrics for every song is stupid, the guiter, bass, and the drums are there. Don't get me wrong, their music isn't bad, but you never give five stars to a band like this. This isn't Pink Floyd. This band is a joke compared to them. Another example, Led Zeppelin!

Please, don't say," Well, you can't compare these guys to them because their style is different." The problem is the fact that you can't give every band an "A." You've got to have a B- their and a D their, and so on.

What's the big deal? This is certainly not a super group, or a group that is going to produce a Back in Black. This music is just too mindless. It's insignificant.

To conclused, this band is average. Nothing special here. But, I certainly can give you a list of "better" and new bands you can listen to.

1. The White Stripes
2. The Answer (currently touring with AC/DC)
3. The Dead Weather (reminds me of Physical Ghyfitti by Led Zeppelin)

Thank you, for reading this review. You may disagree with me, but I'm just being Mr.candid.

These guys make really good rock n' roll, put gay bands like Jet to shame. If you're gonna be a modern old school rock and roll band... be like these guys.
Good Album

Don't get me wrong, I really like this album, but some of the songs are a bit too short. If they were about a minute of so longer, this would be, in my opinion, an excellent recording. It seems that as soon as you start getting into certain songs, they end too quickly.
