This is a really good album (I liked the ballads best).
Here's how I ranked each song:
#1) Find me a Girl = best track on the album; (MJ's voice...soooo sexy...I felt like he was SANGING to me and me alone!! Jermaine is killin it on bass, Jackie's falsetto is on point)
#2) Even Though You're Gone (MJ's voice is just too beautiful...so soothing...just a beautiful song all around)
3.) Man of War (I think it's Marlon who sings before Mike, and he sounds lovely; I love the lyrics and all the brothers sound great together on this track)
4.) Music's Takin' Over (MJ is GETTIN IT yet again...I love the lyrics)
5.) Different Kind of Lady (Another great dance jam where the brothers sound great)
6.) Goin Places (My feel good jam...Jermaine was gettin it on bass again)
7.) Jump for Joy (Epitome of feel good music)
8.) Do What You Wanna (Another feel good jam)
9.) Heaven knows I Love You Girl (Again, MJ's voice is soothing and sexy, but the lyrics are a bit too simple, and whoever does that spoken part just sounds cheesy)
I absolutely LOVE MJ's voice on this entire album...he was just singing his heart out throughout!!! You wont be disappointed :-) |

Goin' Places has nine tracks and they are all very good. There are a few that stand out for me. Music's Takin' Over - gets you movin' on the dance floor. Michael sounds great..he's having fun with this one. Heaven Knows I Love You Girl and Find Me a Girl are lovely ballads of desired love. Man of War is a great song and shows Michael's quest for peace early in his career. This is a keeper for any Michael Jackson/J5 fan.

| The Jackson's 'Goin Places' was certainly not easy to find. I remember these songs from the album my dad used to play when I was a young girl. Thanks to Amazon and its vendors, I was able to relive the memories. Of all of the Michael Jackson/Jackson5 material that I've ordered, this was the first to arrive. It was in perfect condition. It is wonderful to listen to and makes me very happy. Most people don't know many of the songs from this cd. Give it a chance. You'll love it!!!!! |
