Classic Money Man Submitted on: 2008-09-19 |

I have this album on LP (and just recently bought it on CD), and it's one of my favorite albums. No Control is probably Eddie's most consistent work. The album gets off to a great start with Shakin', a great guitar song with catchy lyrics and hooks ("Sh...sh..sh..sh we were Shakin'!"). Songs like No Control, Think I'm in Love, Hard Life, and Runnin' Away prove that The Money Man was on top of his game back then.
I don't know if it's different anywhere else, but the only place I've been able to find Eddie's studio albums is either eBay or Amazon. The only Money albums I've seen in stores is the dozens of Greatest Hits sets. With "Green Cases" (paper jewel cases instead of plastic) being the latest craze, hopefully Eddie will have all his albums digitally remastered and repackaged in the "Green Cases". |

Eddie Money's Best Album Ever Submitted on: 2007-06-16 |

| NO CONTROL is Eddie Money's best album ever, which is amazing, considering that it came right after the flop PLAYING FOR KEEPS. The songs here just plain ROCK!!!!! "Shakin'", "Think I'm In Love", and the title song show Money at the top of his game, making the Springsteen/Seger Heartland rock style, as well as the hard rock of Ted Nugent and Foghat, slightly more accessible to pop fans. This wonderful CD/cassette is one that no true 80s rock fan can do without. |
