| Algebra is slept on by many including myself until a while ago.....Her voice sounds a little old school with that neo soul twist. She is definately worth the purchase..Halfway...I Think I Love You...among my faves. |

Where's the sophomore project Algebra? Submitted on: 2009-09-27 |

It goes without saying that I am a HUGE fan of this debut album from the soulful Algebra Blessett. Since I feel a certain kinship with this effort, I'm going to do something different for this review. Algebra's lyrics speak volumes to my soul, so I've decided to highlight a line (or more) from standout tracks on "Purpose".
At This Time:
"My arms brag to each other 'bout how you feel"
Halfway:
"See I live you, breathe you, love ya, need you"
*Run and Hide*:
"I don' done it all before, wined & dined, even ignored. Played the role of a bad girl, snuck some boys out the backdoor. So somebody would love me"
U Do It For Me:
"I call you on my phone, on the way home. Treatin' you was on my mind"
Happy After:
"It's the same ol' story, just another lifetime. Girl wants to be rescued from all the hard times. You can be Prince Charming and I'll be Cinderella"
My Pride:
"What am I gonna do, I'm sitting here missing you"
What Happened:
"Everywhere I go, I hear ya name & I play it off like things are the same"
Tug of War:
"Holding on to you, is like I'm gambling my heart"
Come Back:
"Those days were so comfortable, never had to worry much"
I hope that Algebra and others with her talent are able to put a substantial dent in the overload of "Beyonce's" and "Rihanna's" that now runs the airwaves. |

| She doesnt get the credit she deserves...Purpose is one of the few CDs you can put in and just let the whole thing play..and once you learn all the words you'll think you were a back up singer! She's def n rotation n the CD changer! |

Somebody Please Promote this Artist she is Excellent!!!!!!!! Submitted on: 2009-08-12 |

| I heard about Algebra a little while back and have been long awaiting for her music to hit the stores. I'm not sure why she hasn't blown up because there are not enough words to describe how great of an artist she is. I love the whole CD. There's not one song that I would skip over if the CD was playing. I hope sometime soon someone recognizes that she really belong amongst all of the big names. Algebra I wish you all the best and hope that you come to the DC area to do a concert I will be there front row. |
