Too short for an album, but awesome EP

If you're the type who collects EP discs (I don't get them very often - I'll usually just stick with the full-length albums), I greatly recommend this album. If you haven't heard of Fleet Foxes yet and you're into indie music (or any good music, for that matter), you would like this. I bought it because I had already played their self-titled debut to the point of exhaustion and was looking for more from Fleet Foxes.
Every song is great, but 2 stand out to me in particular:
"Sun Giant" is largely a capella (no instruments) and shows of Robin's amazing voice.
"Mykonos" was also released as a separate single. I love the guitar line in it - very original.
It may be disappointingly short if you were expecting an album, but as a companion to Fleet Foxes's debut, it is perfect. Or you can just get the special edition of their debut and it comes with this disc. |

| Heard this band on local radio. Really liked Mykonos. The band, for young folks, seemed more interested in music than noise, so liked them. Listening to rest of short CD, all the pieces to me are enjoyable. Reminds me a bit of a cross between CSN and Springsteen, and a good cross. Play this not infrequently and is a bargain, even if it only has 5 tunes. |

I Love Fleet Foxes!

| I recently discovered Fleet Foxes quite by accident, but loved their music instantly.The only song I didn't care for is the track Sun Giant. Mykonos is awesome! English House is Mellow but strong at the same time. I listen to Fleet Foxes most nights before going to bed because the beauty of the music is so soothing. |

I have to say that I LOVE the song Mykonos. This band definitely pushes boundaries that others are scared to. Their unique style and sophistication may go over the heads of casual listeners. Not to mention, they are great lyricists.
Recommended for the true music lover. |
