| I saw this show in NY a month ago and can't stop playing the soundtrack! The soundtrack is very different from anything I've heard in that it is a hip hop musical. The story line is one that many people can relate to and the lyrics are pretty impactful. If you see the show, the dance choreography to the music is amazing. In addition, the musical gives a shout out to Stanford University! |

| I saw the show in March 2009 and thoroughly enjoyed it, even from the nosebleed seats. It was easy to see why In the Heights won the Tony for best musical! The soundtrack does not disappoint; the talent and energy of the cast shines through in each track. The band is excellent as well and really drives home the Latin feel. If you liked the show or enjoy showtunes in general I think you will enjoy this CD. |
