| Plies is lame. This aint real, take it from a South Florida boy, he is lame (yall could tell em i said it). Plus the cover looks familiar...Cashville anyone. Goon is right! Plies is a fool, don't take this boy seriously. |

| Man I love Plies! This CD is soooo hard and sooo reeealll. I would recomend to people who like hard core rap styyle music. Not your typical 50 cent listeners. It also has some hits for the ladys on here. |

Get yo' inner Gangsta on! Submitted on: 2009-01-15 |

| I did not order this cd. I listened to it and I think it's a pretty good cd. Now, outside of all the cursing and extra foul language it's some good riding music; one of my more favorite tracks is Ol' Lady. All in all, I recommend the cd. Now, if you want a cd to ride to when you feel like getting your "Inner Gangsta" on then this is the cd for you. (SMH)...YMMV! NEOSOUL06 |

| Their is a lot of haters on here. Listen to the album there are some really good songs on this LP and Jamie Foxx does makes lousey music for himslef but when hes on a colabo with Plies he does'ent sound like crap. Jamie Foxx and The-Dream are not homos they both have children by women. |

Step down from his last album Submitted on: 2008-12-15 |

First and foremost, I am not a fan of this album's cd cover art. What was the label thinking?! The only word I can think of is disgusting...but hey what do I know, I'm not a music Label CEO. But with that being said, Amazon does have the same album different cover for a ridiculous price, but it is so much better than the original...Plies actually looks "Decent" not like a criminal. But on with the review....
Plies sophomore album "Definition of Real" is a step down from his last album. Even though the topics of his tracks are always the same "Goons, Murkin' and Sex" the Definition of real lacked what the Real Testament had and that's being hungry FOR THE GAME. Which is something an artist should always have.
I honestly have to say Plies is one of those rappers that's a guilty pleasure of mines, I find myself often listening to his music-even singing along.
I completely understand that most of Plies music holds absolutely no substance, but the doesn't take away from the fact that at times his songs are entertaining. The Definition of Real in its own right did have a few stand out tracks:
1.)I'm da Man ft. Trey Songz
6.)Somebody (Loves you)- Pattie Labelle sample, interesting track.
9.)Who Hotter than me (My favorite track on the album)
If you are expecting Plies to uplift you or create music thats going to bring peace to the world, forget about it. He, nine out of ten, is not going to change his content anytime soon...his music is what makes him Plies...If you want music thats political and thought-provoking, then go look for another album-because this one is not it. Take this album for what it's worth. |
