great album Submitted on: 2009-11-19 |

This is a wonderful album just as T.I. is a wonderful artist. The person who gave this review 2 stars and said there are only 2 good songs must not be listening to the same thing. I listen to all kinds of music, and I have loved all of his albums. This album is more upbeat and he made it especially for the fans. He has a message behind certain songs on this album and if u can't grasp it, then dnt listen to it.
I love the whole album and I think if he launched all of the songs to the radio, he would certainly have more than two #1 hits. The whole album is a hit.
T.I. is a very realistic man, and for ppl who say some of his earlier songs were speaking about b***h, and killing ppl, you all need to understand that these artists are rapping about what sells. And unfortuneatly, calling a woman out her name, sexual lyrics, and pulling an AK sells to most of the audiences out here. I have no doubt in my mind that he lives by the way he raps. He is well rounded man, and knows how to sell his music. And even with him having explicit lyrics and calling a woman this, he is still more clean cut than many of the rappers that are out today.
If you are a T.I. fan as I am, and u dnt have this album. Definitely go get it and get it quick. WONDERFUL album from beginning to end. |

His best album to date Submitted on: 2009-08-09 |

| I recently purchased Paper Trail and I am so glad I did. I am a huge fan of TI but some of the reviews here were mixed so I wasn't sure about purchasing the album. All of the songs are a great insight into the logic and reasoning behind some of his actions (gun case) and I appreciate his cander. I recommend this album to everyone! |

Hip-Hop's Reigning Champ Submitted on: 2009-07-22 |

In 2008, T.I. released what I call his best achievement of his career, "Paper Trail."
Talk about a masterpiece, TIP delivers a 16 track LP that is a certified classic. With "King" and "T.I. Vs. T.I.P.," T.I. was improving, but this album cements his place in rap as one of the best.
From the album's intro (56 Bars) to the last track (Dead & Gone), one can tell T.I. was on a mission to prove he was an elite emcee. Writing downs his lyrics than just making them up off the top of his head proved to be a smart move, as his lyrical ability seems much more focused and overall stronger.
Collaborations are great too, as Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, Usher, Ludacris, Lil' Wayne, Kanye West, Jay-Z, John Legend, Swizz Beats and a few others pop up throughout the album. The posse cut "Swagga Like Us" feat. Jay-Z, Lil' Wayne and Kanye West is a good cut, but T.I. steals the show, blowing away all of his competition lyrically.
What's great about this album is its range. It has the party/fun tracks such as "Whatever U Like," "Live Your Life" feat. Rihanna and "On Top of the World" feat. Ludacris and B.O.B., the serious cuts like "Dead & Gone" feat. Justin Timberlake, "Every Chance I Get," "Ready for Whatever," and "My Life, Your Entertainment" feat. Usher and overall, just great music.
The only song on the album that is weak is "Porn Star," which still isn't even a bad cut.
In the end, T.I.P. has released his greatest body of work to date with this album. As a listener, it provides everything you need, including the proof as to why T.I. is one of the hip hop greats. |
